Yup, it will plow 8-10 inches deep in most soils. I plow a few gardens around town with it. It sure makes tilling in the spring easier.

Got my gates in the back of my fence. Spent $100 on it total. Hauling saplings out to clear a path down in the holler for leaf plowing.

Figured it was the last day to clean up the yard for winter.

    1) left rear tire flat
    2) battery also flat
    3) spare battery from garage also flat :( -- jump with van
    4) solenoid bad, jump with screwdriver:mad:
    5) starter spins but won't engage, lift gear on starter with screwdriver while jumping solenoid (swearing with gusto) :frusty:

The damn thing starts at this point
I commence to mow somewhat hampered that it doesn't want to turn left -- I'm too lazy to figure out why...
    6) stick knocks drive belt off deck, put belt back on and repeat 3,4,5 above including more swearing :annoyed:
    7) finish mowing, siphon the gas out of the tank, run it dry and put the clunker in the shed for the winter, dead battery included

I elevated the property drive by from abandoned to poorly maintained -- not bad for a Saturday in November.

@T-yoda Same. Clearing behind my fence, 20yrs of me pitching limbs and trees over it. UGH! Really beat after cutting dozens of saplings and 6-8 rotten fallen trees like the one below. My brush pile is ye-uuu-ge!

Picked up this doghouse to modify for the generator seen in the right of the photo. Price of lumber lately made this a steal.

Finally sold my old Pickup. Sad to see it go, but motor was popped, frame was bad (welded back together on both sides), infested with mice from sitting. Sold for $400, not too bad. Edit-that LJ500 lifted the whole back of the truck onto their trailer. Pretty sweet little thing. Once it was on the trailer I used it to straighten the truck out too. All the brakes were locked up, and they only had a 2500lb ATV winch to pull with. And no ramps, just short pieces of 2x4 haha.

It’s a JLG LJ500, weighs 1500lbs, supposed lift capacity is 500lbs but I know for a fact it lifts more. (Tipping load is 680lbs I believe)

Thanks! They’re tough to find info on, but I’ve found a good bit with help from others. Originally, it came with something like 15 (or more) options, such as a trencher attachment, hydraulic post hole auger, dozer blade, a few different buckets, forks, a hydraulic pole saw, etc... once I get my grubby fingers on some zero turn mower wheel motors, I plan to make an auger, trencher, and pole saw for it.

I’ve put some work into it, still making repairs. Got it for free but ended up paying my buddy the $300 he had into it. It’s well worth it! (Especially while my MF35 loader is down for repairs every now and again)

    Thread on it here:

I ended up pulling down a leaning tree where I was pushing leaves. I built a cable setter awhile back that lets me slide my pull cable 20ft up the trunk from the ground. I can pull a lot of them down and get the stump too so I do this on standing dead if possible. I've had a couple widow makers nearly take me out in the past.

@KB Voodoo You've got the Kubota 2501 on this page, right? Does it have the pin-on bucket, or the quick-release skid steer coupler?

I did have the L2501, and it had the skid steer quick attach bucket. Quick attach is literally the only way to go unless you never use any other implements on the loader. We use a bucket, grapple, pallet forks, and a bale spear.

I traded in our L2501 for a L3901. If you're in the market, just skip the L2501. It's too under powered for that frame size, you will absolutely want more power at some point.

The 3901 uses the same chassis, though, right?
Reason I was asking is that I'm considering an upgrade in the next year or so, but I'm debating between the B2601 and the L2501 (I don't mow, till, or anything like that; 90% of what I'm using a tractor for is loader work) due to size. The B2601 I know is short enough to fit in my 12' dump trailer, but I'm not sure on the 2501. I think it could fit with the loader off, and was hoping I could get you to measure from the furthest point at the rear (tire or 3pt arms) to the quick-connect plates for me. The closest Kubota dealer to me is 30-40 minutes from my house, so I'd rather not make the drive just to measure one, lol.

Yeah the L3901 is the same frame but tons more power.

I also picked up a LX3310, which is the same frame size as the B2601, and I don't think I would recommend it. The loader is not very useful, and the ergonomics are terrible. I'm 6 foot, and I'm constantly bumping into the controls on accident. I can't tell you how many times I've been backing up, and my leg accidentally lowers the loader and it ends up dragging on the ground.

The LX and B series also can't pull for shit. I was trying to skid a log with it the other day and it was just not happening, the L3901 dragged it like it wasn't even there.

I would strongly recommend the L3901 or even the L3301.

I can take measurements if you need. So you want the total length of the tractor, with the bucket off, is that correct?

Yeah, that'd be sweet, if you can do that. No rush; I'm not planning on doing it until spring at the earliest anyway. So whenever you're out there anyway is fine.

Dragging is part of why I'm looking at the 2501 (or possibly a 3301), because when I'm not doing loader work I'm grading or hauling firewood, so traction's important.

I'll be hooking up the bale spear later today and bringing some round bales out to the horses, I'll measure it then.

Meantime I'm hunkering down and keeping the stove cranked up, we got 5" of snow this morning, and counting.
