How much time has elapsed between the two flags in your log screenshot?

Shifting for me does seem to lag behind accelerator input bad at times. I would also like to change this if possible.

Sorry for the question, but as I try to figure out the torque converter settings... I'm trying to do a ECT tune for when my camper is onboard and I'm thinking of having the truck go into 6th gear only if I reach 75mph or above.

For the torque converter lock, do I just make the values start at 76 mph regardless of the accelerator angle? And make it unlock at 74mph the same way?

If I want to lockout 6th gear altogether I know to raise all the values to 255 for the 5-6 upshift, but do I need to change converter settings if I decide to lock out 6th completely?

    Thanks for any input.

    Cheers,

    John

usually the advertisement leader below shows several - Leveno or similar with windows 10, usb connection (2.0 - 3.0 may cause flash to crash) and as much ram and harddrive as possible for the buck. Check Amazon and or ebay - probably some good buys going on now through Turkey Day!

compare function won't work correctly unless you are comparing two files same ID
also we are still working on fixing compare on the 1D tables. Float value conversion issue at the moment.

@OVTune - was comparing same ecu tunes (04B04) - used to compare primary shifting (up-shifts) and ect up-shifting between two tunes. (Not trying to compare primary against ect). Sometimes it worked and sometimes it did not - no biggy as I just go to other tune and open map and then use the overlay panel.

@OVTune I have a question regarding ignition timing

I ran a log today just out of curiosity and noticed that the values for the ignition timing seem to correlate with the low knock and high knock tables only.

for starters i do not know the difference between these. Can you explain the significance of these tables?

to me, it says that it is doing a knock correction, but i may be incorrect.

also, it was in line with the low knock table in lower rpm high load, and in line with the high knock tables during higher rpm and high load.

seemed fairly consistent as well during different pulls.

im running sfob premium with 93 octane fuel

@OVTune I just compared a B14 SFOB 2.0 to the same file w/alternator settings and there were a ton of tables highlighted. I think this affects more than just different file ID's?

i still use the compare function.

some tables do show changes that arent actually there. but it absolutely does work when comparing things like ignition advance tables between reg and premium, you can see the differences there

i just ignore the tables that i know arent different (ie alternator)

Not really broken as it is just too sensitive right now to float data.

    04B25
    04A81
    04C30

are all now supported in vF Tuner (update is live)

The compare feature is broken as far as working in the UI goes. No biggie...

Heck yes, thank you very much! I don't suppose the tune pack is available yet (04C30)?

So I haven't tuned another Tacoma yet, but if I do and it doesn't have the same ECU ID, and I purchase the credits to unlock that ECU ID is it an instant process or do I have to wait on an email back?

It's def not instant. If I recall correctly, since I've only bought extra credits once... You have to go purchase the credits on the OVTune website, then you 'request' them in the app, and a day or so later they show up in your account on VFTuner.

So it's something you'll want to do in advance, for sure. I bought enough to unlock 5 more ECUs and I've almost used them up, so I'm about to go thru it again honestly.
