Is anyone shooting Hornady LEVEREVOLUTION in their revolvers? Such as a 2” barrel Ruger SP101? I think it’ll be fine given the FPS of the LEVEREVOLUTION compared to the Hornady Whitetail ammo. Wouldn’t the FPS be directly related to the pressures? As in higher FPS meaning more chamber pressure. The Hornady Whitetail ammo has higher FPS from the muzzle compared to the LEVEREVOLUTION.

FPS isn't directly related to pressure. That LEVEREVOLUTION powder is a pretty slow burning powder, much better suited to a longer barrel. I suspect out of a 2" barrel you will have a huge fireball of a muzzle blast, and bullet velocity would probably be fairly poor.

But who doesn't love a good fire ball coming out the barrel at dusk just for shits and giggles

If that's your goal, then that powder would probably be a good choice.

I've shot 357 and 44 leverevolution rounds out of my Rugers, no prob whatsoever, and Hornady doesn't have a problem with it either

How much are an original set of grips for a S & W 19-3 worth? I have someone wanting to sell me some and don't know.

There is a local auction with a couple rifles of interest to me and I'm just trying to see peoples thoughts on how they compare in your experience or just your experience with either gun specifically. They aren't the most direct comparison but have overlap for sure. First is a Ruger American 450 Bushmaster and the second is a Thompson Center Venture 30-06. I know the 450 ammo isn't a bit harder to come by and in less options, it seems to pack a pop and be good for at least white tail, muley, antelope in my area, seems a little unclear on its elk ability at least at much distance. Not as familiar with 30-06 other than knowing its a much more common round with a lot more options and I think its hunting purposes are pretty similar(?). Looking for any thoughts folks might have, I know there is a lot more knowledge in here than I have and its a bit easier than reading dozens of articles online.

No experience with 450 BM, but 30-06 will easily handle any North American game. I've shot 3 moose with mine.

    ^^ This ^^

I have Ruger American's in 22LR, 17HMR and 308. All are remarkably accurate for the price point.

I have the American Predator in 6.5 CM but I handle both rifles regularly and the TC just feels cheap in the hand and is overall mehhh

I have the Ruger American in 22LR and it is great and I know the quality will be there in the 450. Biggest concern with it is if it could handle an elk at reasonable distance. I haven't gone for elk before but I can't imagine staying in MT and not wanting to at some point.
