No you really don't mess with it...all the nitrogen does is to prevent cavitation of the oil....its a set and forget thing...race series shit...200psi...prerunner series shocks 150....trust me leave it alone you cannot tell the difference in the grand scheme of things....changing the valving is what you tune along with the freebleeds and bypass tubes(if applicable)

Yes sure it does make it a blonde cunt hair stiffer if you run a little higher pressure but 99% cannot tell the difference past the placebo effect especiallyon a leaf spring truck. It is simply not the correct way to adjust a shock at all.

Yep. I know on mine based on how hard I drive, the funky but works awesome valving we have in my coilovers, we run a little higher psi, but the biggest tuning progress has been with valving and free bleeds. Especially without front bypasses.

Bump stops, yeah you tune em with pressure.

Yes...just pick a pressure and stick with it...theres soo much adjustability already you are fuckin high if your tweaking a 50psi range that has its own set of variables.

Bump stops are an AIR shock...the spring is the air pressure...different design not applicable to other shocks...u can valve bumpstops too.

Trust me folks run a consistent psi in your shocks...

Just wait til they hear you run welding gas in your shocks!?!

You’re just thinking smart though right? Stuck on the side of the trail, hook up a shock to the welder and have shielding gas for trail repairs. Next level:headbang:

Don't say that - everybody's expo glamping rig will get an inverter for a 220 miller multiprocess by next year.

You men everyone isn't already running 100% Ar in thier shocks? I'm sure there's an overlander reason the higher molecular weight is better.

Not just that we're cheap and don't want to buy a N2 tank.

Recently had to pick up an autozone tundra cv , getting ready to do the 930 boot mod to it and realized the ends are not identical to the oem tundra axles I have on the truck. If anyone happens to know if these will work the same please let me know? Thanks!

I have a spare Tundra axle I bought as a spare from the recycling yard. It is not the same as a factory axle (changed out by that vehicles owner unknowingly to me). I can't say where it actually came from, but you definitely need oem axles. I dont remember the exact details visible from the outside but it was obvious once inside. I can take a pic tomorrow if that helps.

Oem inner. Notice the ribs. I believe the aftermarket replacement had big divots running perpendicular to these (tri pod/worse)

Also, the inners are very easy to remove and reboot, just a simple c clip you can get at. The outers are more of a pita.

My red taco ran vatozone tundra specials. But it was so long ago not sure if I got remans or aftermarket or what. They worked fine though. I remember reading somewhere that some where a tad shorter in length (not much) but don’t remember reading the cup mod wouldn’t work. :notsure: I’m no help lol

Looks like you got a tacoma tulip plunge end on your tundra shaft.
I've gotten a few reman specials that are the opposite.

Remind me again why we all struggle with dismantling our cv’s to replace boots when this tool and many others like it has been available for less than $100 ?
