    1000% correct. I scanned mine with a scan tool before I got my tune kit. VFtuner matched it.

    just want to give others a way of getting me the ID, so I can buy credits to unlock it... and then I can program it.

    I had a 2020 loaner when I got my timing chain cover oil leak repaired and it was A LOT better than 04B04. Seems like there should be a TSB to get there, but I think Toyota figures they are finished with us.

    I can't imagine the amount of used Tacoma's that would flood the market if Toyota got off their asses, fixed these KNOWN issues and offered a solution via a Gen4 Tacoma.

    They made a gen 2.5... maybe a gen 3.5 is in order? I've heard from a reliable source that the next gen Tundra next year will be getting a 500hp Hybrid v6 combo... i honestly smell a hybrid taco coming in 2023, and they'll likely do a minor update the gas one at the same time.

    Gen 3.5 has a nice ring to it.
    Twin turbskiis turning 350 modest yet reliable ponies. A properly tuned transmission and more reasonable final drive ratio. Cab mounts located further to the rear so no CMC required to run 35s. Remote start, and a frickin' tail gate that locks with the damn doors. :boink:

    remote start and power tailgate would be great if they were standard... but those are both distributor-installed options they have in my region now (so they show up on the invoice). i'd def have got the power tailgate if it was an option back when i bought mine.

    Appreciate the offer man! I was using those ECU IDs are an example. I have a 2020 myself. I haven't seen alot of tunes for 2020's so I'm just trying to think through what I'll need to do to port some of these tunes over.

    Could you also just come prepared to flash their ECU to the latest image and have unlocked the tunes for that image? You would just need to know their year and transmission.

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong
