Front shocks done. Stock springs carried over, ride height remains unchanged. The truck now rides so much better! While I was at the shop the tech eyeballed the radiator, and pointed out the dried coolant around the top radiator hose. He didn't see any cracks in the radiator itself, and I haven't noticed any drops beneath the truck, but he did suggest that I add radiator replacement to my winter to-do list (along with brake flush). Time to start shopping...any suggestions for an '02 V6 PreRunner w/automatic tranny?

Oh, here's a pic of one of the front Tokicos before I dumped it in the bin.20201113_110231.jpg

I am wondering what impact the new antenna has on this.

Lights were on from Boise to Beatty, and from Bishop to Eugene - so for most of the route down/back, yes, lights were on.

I think the brights could be due to a couple things: 1) reflectors - our housings are quite different. 2) The Hella's are just so good.

Well, we'll find out here shortly. Next trip is LEDs+old antenna. ;)

It seems like the switch to a new antennas that you made is the most likely cause of changes/issues with reaching i-gates and showing up on the APRS tracking websites.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.
Once they are at operation tempt(10-30seconds for 100% but like 3 for 75%) you can shut them off and turn back on and they take no time to like half a second to get back to 100% depending on outside temp and how long they are off.

We'll see. I'll do a trip with the old antenna and LEDs, and then another with the new antenna and traditional bulbs. Will be an interesting experiment.

   That's an awesome "camper."

I get that it's a desolate part of the country. I feel like I've hit more in the past, but again, we'll see.

^^^ This, . On/off isn't an issue at all once they are at temp, and it's sorta fun to watch them warm up the first time. It's like... "here I come b*@tches!!!" hahahaha

I definitely notice the road signs more now. Just have to be cool at night man.

We figured out where and how the frame is bent a couple of days ago. One of my friends who has auto body experience helped me find it. He feels confident we can straighten it ourselves, so that will be happening in the next week or so. Got a good door and a good fender. Bought all of the supplies I’ll need to raptor coat the cab yesterday as well He also talked me into coating the free bed since he knows that I won’t have my flatbed/canopy setup built before our Moab trip in March and I’ll need a place to keep my gear and the dog dry.
