It's not the best deal, I paid $32,564 +TTL for my 2020 TRD OR DCSB in April. I know things have changed since then, but I believe that sanity will return to the market by early 2021. I was at my Toyota dealer last week and there are now quite a number of new Tacomas on the lot and they are starting to offer incentives again. You never want to buy when prices are at their peak, which I believe they are right now. If you can wait it out a bit you can save yourself some money and get what you really want.

 

What's an SR5 with an off-road package?

As others have stated, it's an SR5.

The dealer is not trying to deceive you, this is a common occurrence and has been noted several times. When the vin is pulled up on insurance sites, it states "SR/SR5/TRD" or a variant thereof. Does the same thing on the 4runner with the trims I've also seen it show up as SR5/TRD OFF ROAD/TRD SPORT/TRD PRO.

If you politely point out their error, show that it does not have the rear locker, crawl control, the black fender flares, the OR badging, etc. and ask them to re calculate the price on the correct trim package, perhaps they will adjust the price accordingly.

 

the radio and lack of push to start is a dead giveaway it's not a TRD

We just made a deal. He knocked some money off, gave me some more for my trade, etc. It wasn't easy finding the right place to take my 4Runner as a trade. The manager at this dealership used to work at the shop that did some of the work to the 4Runner and he is actually going to buy it from his dealership.

Not sure if anyone else posted this but Toyota has a decoder to tell you all the specs. I didn’t see anything for it to be an off-road at all. Also it says SR5

Uh...obviously it’s an SR5. SR5 interior, radio, badges, and most obvious white fender flares.

 

Someone who isn’t an enthusiast probably doesn’t know all the intricacies and differences between all the trims

 

I ordered my 2020 TRD Off-Road in June got everything I wanted and before taxes and registration I was at 33k. Crazy what people pay for these used

 

No locker in the Tundra, just the brake operated limited slip.

 

In Canada we get the outlet in the bed on SR5s. This one is definitely an SR5 tho.

 

I'd worry about what else they got wrong accidentally on purpose.
