My buddy wrecked his 4Runner today around Apple Hill and his dog " Dale" ran away. Keep an eye for this dog if in the area please

 

where about in Apple hill? Have a few friends who live in the area and are Eldoco Sheriff’s Deputies. I’ll pass this along.

Bummer. Yea it’s a known intersection for accidents. I sent them a photo of the dog and a background. I’ll let you know if I hear anything.

edit: buddies said EDSO and animal control are on the look out for the “good boy” and they’re aware he’s missing. Best of luck to your buddy finding him!

That looks like so much fun. Don’t think my stock SR5 would be able to do it.

I have zero recovery gear and have driven off-road/in the snow, twice in 30 years.

Plus, still having one issue with the truck. Thought it was the rear mechanical LSD, but after changing fluid and additive, the truck shudders worse than it did before. Turning from a stop makes everything shudder. Shame it doesn’t do it at all turns, would probably make it easier to diagnose.

 

We had a stock TRD Pro with us, his KO2 tires soldiered up the trail with no issues all day! He ran middle of the pack to make sure there were some tracks cleared, and we kept it 4wd hi for most of the trail, only a couple spots where we played it extra safe with Lo and rear lockers on.

 

No lockers here... If in doubt, throttle out?

Sucks about the rear end. Get that taken care of sooner than later

Itching to get up to the snow this weekend!

 

Anyone have any ideas on my issue? Can it be something other than the rear diff? Shudder when accelerating while making a turn (mostly right, but sometimes left). A fluid and additive change has not helped.
