Tangentially related heads up about Patagonia. If you live close to a location where The Flyfishing Show makes a stop each winter/spring, Patagonia usually sets up a booth for wader repair. They'll patch up and repair any brand waders for free. The wait is usually 2 to 4 hours, so drop them off early.

Lol to further muddy the waters Sitka is now in the wader game

Granted they’re massive $1000 duck hunting behemoths but they look pretty badass.

I've had LL Bean (the flagship store is only 15 minutes away) in the past due to their unconditional warranty. That warranty changed for the worse a few years back. I switched to Patagonia.

Patagonia, never a problem. Unfortunately, had to send back multiple waders due to rips and tears. If they cannot fix it they always made it right by shooting back the newest model to me.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
How is the fit on Patagonia?
I wear a 10.5 running shoe and if i wear thick warm socks wading up in cold Montana waters, the stocking foot of my orvis waders pulls snug more than i'd like. Next size up in their waders was too baggy.

I like the fit of LLBean (loose without excess baggy) but that's what the other guys i usually travel with have so it's always a mixup of which ones go to which guy.

Being different keeps me out of their sweaty waders.

Fit somewhat true to size. I’m 5’10 and wear a medium it fits a 9.5 boot well even with thick socks. I still have enough room where my foot does not feel crushed. Very breathable, Favorite pair of waders I’ve own. Owned them all orvis, Reddington, cabelas and bass pro. They are a little more expensive but worth it if you going to wear them for years to come. Mine have been across the nation and if there’s ever a problem just head into a Patagonia store or even a Patagonia endorse fly shop and they’ll fix them there on the spot. Had that happen at white river and Jackson hole.

Patagonia should have a web special sale here soon for Black Friday. However, this year I’ve heard rumors they are shutting down their site for an outdoors day.

Damn. Bummed I missed this post. I love Galvan. Been using them since 2002. Have a dozen of them, I think. Fresh and salt water reels.

Tried a few, but ended up with Simms. Expensive, but so good. I don't get that many days on the water so a set lasts me a few years.

Few weeks ago. It's been too cold lately, the furled line on the Tenkara freezes up. PXL_20201106_154731170.jpg

I could have taken a few shots, but I’m trying to get the boy his first. Plus we are hunting my 7 acres, and it is pretty tough right now.
