I got the Incredible and had the extended battery from Verizon before the phone arrived. I also have the Bluetooth option in my Taco and they link up beautifully. I got the holder that sits in the cup holder so the map display for navigation is forward is up and the turn by turn directions come out of the speaker in the cab. Phone works great too. Still working on the voice command in the phone, if not clear can end up with a random call. Whenever I am in the Taco I have the phone plugged in charging which works out well for me. I like it better than my previous iPhone.
Word of warning do not let the G4 hype make you decide on your phone because none of the carriers meet the G4 standard of 100 MB transfer the best is about 17% of that. I also like Verizon better that ATT as they still do unlimited Internet, none of the others do. I also do the teathering option for $10 a month, not as fast as the dedicated USB modem but also not $50 a month. I use free WIFI whenever I can but like the option of browsing the web from deer camp.....

after having a droid 2 for a couple months, It does all sorts of weird things.. decide's not to send txts sometimes. freezes a lot. and decides to restart itself when your doing something. I have the insurance but haven't had it replaced yet. will be doing that soon.

Wife has the htc droid. How do I get to the app store and then to the free apps? I also need to download a task killer. What is that and how do I go about doing that?

Anybody have the Droid Pro by Motorola yet?

in your app menu their is a tab called market, click it then search all the apps my name/keyword. Or browse by category/free/cost/just in. As far as the task killer, i think the FROYO update came on your phone, if it did then it already has a built in task killer. You can tell if you go into the settings, then click applications, then click running apps, and then you can kill them from their. If that option isnt avalible then jsut download a free one from the market.

Just picked up a HTC Desire from US Cell. so far so good. battery life is short, but it gets charged every night anyways.

Google sky maps is a really cool app. fire up the program, it aligns itself with GPS, aim the phone at a star and it will tell you the name,,real time scroll as you move it,,the whole star field moves. Aim it at your feet and it will tell you the name of the star,,on the opposite side of the earth,,lol.

I did and shut a few down. There were only like 5 running in the background so it looks like it may have come from the factory with a task killer.

I don't think it is too big. I'm about to order a Trident kraken case which makes it pretty big but worth it. The case is beast. I think you being a teacher, the droid x could be very beneficial for you. I love the DX although I've been having problems with mine.

these three phones are all good phones. I have the incredible and i have to say this is the best phone i have ever had. The 1Ghz snapdragon processor is so quick. Website load supper quick on verizons network. and the 8 mega pixel camera with 720p video is awesome. Plus unlike the i phone it has Flash!!!! all three of these phone should come stock with a bigger/ better battery but they are trying to compete with the iphone dimensions.

    So in summary :
IF you like a non-touch screen qwerty keyboard don't buy the incredible
If you dont care about a touch screen qwerty keyboard then buy the incredible with the extended battery. You will love it!!
