vF Tuner for the 3.5L Tacoma

So if I purchase the credits and already requested them in my app at that point it's instant? Seems like a pain trying to get with someone to tune their vehicle. Just have to let anyone interested know this is a two day ordeal and not consecutive.

 

How fast you get your credits can depend. We try to make sure everyone gets them asap, but sometimes it can take a day. We are working on a faster, instant process

 

Whatever you do, don’t push that button more than once. (Personal experience)

 

Perfect timing for this answer as I just purchased credits today to unlock another ECU and was looking for that info.

 

tuned the premium file and only have about 25 miles on it, but at startup today I did see some slight rpm fluctuations at idle, but none after that. Will report back after 3-500 miles

 

Does anybody know if ovtune got their support site fixed? I've sent in my ECU ID information Nov 13 to ovtune support and sent ovtune a PM on TW no response, still awaiting my tune packs. I've sent other stuff to their support site and Matt was quick to respond but I remember seeing he was having support site issues. Is their stuff down?

P.S yes I've my junk folder several time.

same here I sent in my system id over 48 hours ago, I kno it says could take up to 4 days....

What happens when you do? I’ve pushed the request more credits button more than once while waiting for mine.

 

Usually we get them sent same or next day, unless it's an ID we are still working on.

But at the moment to be honest some tickets we simply may not have seen quite yet. We are getting a massive influx of orders, messages, etc this month

 

The resulting scenario is only slightly less dangerous than dividing by zero.

Okay thanks for the reply sir! I look forward to seeing your email! And my dump tubes when they come. while I’ve got your attention I’ve got the urd u-spec exhaust, I recall reading somewhere I need to run a cattles tune so I don’t throw codes?

 

In my case, I requested credits and nothing happened. Then I figured out that I needed to purchase the credits so I did. Then for good measure I requested a few more times. Nothing. Then my order for 4 credits said fulfilled but no credits. I tried again. Nothing. Long story short, Mat got it sorted out and advised not to push button more than once.

there is no catless tune, only dump tube tunes for both catted & catless. there is a setting on vF where you can disable the codes, and it is already disabled in those tune files.

 

Ok...I downloaded the file Matt sent me and put in a folder. I go to the step to open my file and vftuner doesn't recognize or acknowledge I have a VFT file there. What am I doing wrong...Why won't vftuner open my file pack?

 

did you unzip it first?

 

ok thanks for the clarification. New to the vf world. Maybe someone can send me a tune for this setup. Running 93 octane and like the gear lock in s/ect mode. Like I said before I’ve got the urd u spec exhaust and a s&b intake. Waiting on the dump tubes with catts to be shipped.
