driver side is set at 5 and passenger 4. The top hat RSG uses adds 1”. And yes on the tire size. I only have about 5k on them so keeping a straight face telling my wife I need bigger tires was too hard

I went with the Dobinson 112R leaf pack. It is the heavy weight one. I probably should have gotten mid weight (111) but there are trips I put 800+ lbs in the back. They were about $750 for the pair with the bushings and new bolts. Install for everything was $875.

Good choice! I would have done the same! I do like the 6112 and 5160s though. Still ride the 5160s on the rear, but I would still like to try the OE Foxes. Let us know how you like the new set up.

@Stigman Make sure you keep your stock offroad suspension for later use. Fox recommends 50k mile rebuilds on their shocks. You dont need to do them every 50k, but at some point you may want to send them out to be rebuilt and you will want your old stock suspension to put the truck on while the foxes are being rebuilt.

Sure you could sell them now for $150-200, but then your kinda stuck without a backup.

Good call I might as well hang onto them given they are only worth 150-200. The Fox setup I got have less than 1k miles on it, so should last for a good bit. We drive less than 10k miles a year anyway, so dont have to think about it for some time. Maybe by that time I'll be ready to move onto some Kings. :)

Yeah, hanging onto the stock suspension for years just incase you ever need them kinda sucks, but its like having a spare tire, you dont want to ever use it, but you will be happy you have it if you ever need it.

If you blow a seal on one of the struts, its great to just swap in a spare and keep driving while its being rebuilt.

I got my pro suspension with like 20k on them, my truck had 15k when I installed them. But I figure at 50k I will send them all out to be rebuilt just to keep them fresh. I too put less than 10k on a year, usually around 8k miles, but less with the lock down. I also live about 2 hours from the fox factory that can rebuild them. So at 50k, I am going to plan a camping trip up near the factory so I can drop them off.

Just for reference... how does one go about getting these rebuilt? Roughly what is the cost for a full set?

Can't speak to any longevity, but both are from brand name, big, reputable companies...but 2 things I would think of.

    1. You are the original buyer of the billies, so I assume the warranty stays with you. Will you be able to warranty the fox shocks if something goes wrong?
    2. What's the difference in dampening profile between the two? I'm fairly confident the billies are digressive, the fox maybe linear or progressive? Does that line up with how you want your truck to ride and handle?

You open a ticket at https://www.ridefox.com/service.php?m=offroad

From there you ship your suspension in to them, they dont call you or give you any updates, but eventually they charge your credit card and ship them back.

I paid $180 to have a single rear rebuilt, but that included a whole new piston shaft. Normal rebuilds are $90-130 each depending on front or rear, and extra parts are added.
