Had a technician that works under me not show up at all this morning. Dude just told a web of lies and was starting to contradict himself. So I just passed on the info to my supervisor. If you overslept just admit it. Don't tell us you tested positive for COVID. Because even if he did the campus would've gotten in contact with us about it. As all the medical centers in town report it directly to campus if you're a student.

You should make him quarantine for 14 days without pay at home if he's gunna try to pull that BS, using fake medical excuses for work should be a suspension offensive in my book

On a side note I got all fuckered drunk before work one night (waaaayy back, and I was on third shift) and called in with the anal glaucoma excuse. I didn't even know i did it until the next day when my supervisor asked me about it:anonymous: thankfully he found it funny so I didn't get in any real trouble

I can dig it! I've seen some off the wall scooter builds back in the day when I was part of a scooter club (we called ourselves "the mosquitoes") but had only seen pictures of that, never one in person

Anal glaucoma what the fuuuck lol

I think when quarantined you can still get paid through the unemployment Covid fed package, not sure if that's still going on but that's how it was back during summer. But yeah employers don't have to pay for someone that's quarantining. That guy should have to take a test now and prove he's negative before he can come back now that he's cried wolf...or cried Covid as it were

I admit I do this at night because the bathroom is right next to our daughters room, peeing too loud wakes her up lol.

That or I just go in the sink, don't tell my wife that though

Yeah I wish I had that power. Most likely he'll get tested over the next few days and have to provide the negative results to actually come back.
