    Hey guys, need some advice on the battery thing I mentioned the other day. Thinking it may be something else, but haven’t changed the battery yet. Thinking alternator. Here’s what I know-

    -drove 3.5 hours no issue, started cranking slow the next morning and hasn’t stopped since, even after my 20 minute commutes to work
    -battery reads around 13.7V running
    -no large parasitic draw
    -diode error on second test on autozone reader, battery reads low charge but otherwise tested fine after cleaning terminals
    -has not failed to turn the car over, but sounds labored doing so
    -no other power related issues are happening that I’m aware of

    any ideas before I throw money at it?

    *edit- reading 10.2V across the terminals no load, not cranked now. Could possibly still be alternator, but will start with the battery and retest alternator

    Getting old isn’t for the weak.

    Old sports aches and pains have turned in to premature arthritis and possibly a worn out knee.

    Maybe worker’s comp will cover it.
