Wind is dying down so I may sit in my tree till dark for the afternoon bite.

Had 60-65 mph wind gusts when the squall line went by last night. Power came back on at 1:00 am.

    Morning all!
Looks like temps will fall into the teens at night around here so I need to get all the outside stuff put away. Will make one more pass with the mower today picking up the leaves. Then it gets a quick cleanup and put away till next year.
Turned 7000 miles with the truck yesterday, not one problem so far and averaging over 21/25 mpg depending on travel.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Good morning all. 25F and a coating of light snow on the driveway. I'm ready for summer to start now.

:pccoffee:  Good morning everyone! Chilly here too, no snow though. The last few windy days have caused some leaves to blow into the yard though, so I might actually go back over it for one final (ha!) time.

Meanwhile I finally got back to a project I started way back in August, but got put on the shelf through the last couple of months of family focus. Our new garage has a storage loft with access stairs, which is all fine and good until one wants to get something heavy up there. The stairs can hold almost 600 pounds, but the human still has to lift it! So envisioned a hoist system to handle the lifting, but I wanted to go one step further. I studied and searched and finally figured out how to do it and where to get everything. I even had all the parts, just sitting there staring at me, all that time. So it felt really good to put it all together.

Almost there. Retirement will come soon enough.

Was at 30 here last night. I left the olive oil out by the griddle last night and it had solidified so I could not use it this morning.

The city will be sucking up leaves in our neighborhood tomorrow so off to blow the leaves to the street today. And we just finished the leaf blowing on Sunday but 2 days of high winds nullified all of that. Lucky for me we have an Echo 770T backpack leaf blower and a smaller Echo hand held blower.

A little something every chance we get.
Good Morning Porch People! 36* overnight here is nothing like cold up North! But I was right to get everything crowded into the greenhouse last Friday!

    20201115_141958.jpg

Problem! Too many plants! Going to pull out the floor plants, and make an inventory, then get rid of a few to some truck buddies! Wife says I have too many anyway. So, that process will start tomorrow, as tonight should be the last cold night for few days.

I forgot to mention and show you the solution for the drip pumps last week. Finally got it right, and didn't want to curse it by bragging until it worked several days. I'll get back and bore you with that later on.

    I LOVE IT!!!

Things are good here. My grand puppy went home 3 weeks ago so now I only get to visit. The vet said the plate in his ankle may need to come out if it gives him problems . Time will tell. How are the girls doing? Hope everything with your family is good and everyone is staying safe. Have a good one.

I was at Costco today and the TP aisle was nearly empty. Again. Meanwhile they had a sign up at the butterball turkeys warning folks that there was a limit of 5 per person. 5 turkeys!

We are living in bizarro world.

You got that right Dave. I was at BJ's on Sunday and tp was on one pallet and paper towels were empty. Checkout line was so long I left without buying anything. :annoyed:

Morning all! 17 above out there going to a high of 35. Heck with this! I'm finishing my coffee and going back to bed. I love being retired!
Today will be a good one for staying inside and puttering with all the little jobs I have been putting off all summer.

Hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
