She and it was completely stock and was burning a quart every 1k miles or weekly then suddenly running rough and threw a bunch of codes. Apparently there's a lawsuit for the EJ25s. Subaru really needs to figure out how to be reliable again or just build something besides a boxer engine

Welcome to New England! Happy to have you, and I hope you like the cold. Last winter was a woopsie.

my truck doesn’t even have a CD player  it’s one of the few modern creature comforts that is a “need” for me. If the truck didn’t have BT I’d swap in a new head unit. I don’t need CarPlay and whatnot, that’s just a nice benefit. Helps for satnav too makes it feel like a modern vehicle.

ENH is way more structured in their trips I’ve seen as well. Here, you can get some hooligans to whip something together in an afternoon with no plans and equipment requirements or comms established. Makes it more fun, you never know what you’re going to show up to.

Welcome. Like was mentioned before not much wheeling in Eastern MA. Basically none. New Hampshire is where you'll want to go. We do runs coordinated from this forum up to NH, but more frequent runs a good place to look is definitely the Exploring New Hampshire Forums (ENH).

    x2 on ENH!

She should call Subaru Corporate and complain that she had her motor fail. IF she is stock, Subaru of New England is really good about taking care of their customers.

My EJ25 has 35k on it, it has been tuned for most of its life, and I'm not nice to it. I change the oil frequently, and I don't beat on it (much). I haven't had a single problem :notsure:
    You sir are welcome! :humble:

    Morning, faces. Happy Thirsty Thursday!

I've heard more problems from Subaru people with that engine...

It is Subaru's 'frame rust' problem.

Well, that and Subaru's actual rust problem...

My truck isn't really even a year old yet so my frame/undercarriage condition isn't worth talking about, BUT check out @Unchained 5150 he's selling one he's kept up on that with about 85k on it, still looks awesome under there.
