How securely are those mounted, I could see them as a potential real safety hazard in a crash or roll over.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
I really want to upgrade the sound system next. After that I would be happy driving this thing into the ground :burnrubber:. I'm used to big bass from sedans and wagons with subwoofer boxes in the past and the only (expensive) option that seems to fit well is the jl stealthbox which I eventually want to get..for now will have to settle with upgrading the stock speakers to see if it makes a difference[/QUOTE]

I have a 2017 TRD AC and am working on installing 2x 6.5" subwoofers on a platform under the jump seats. They will be recessed into the platform so the grills do not interfere with the jump seats when in the down position. Alpine amp will be mounted on the back wall between the backrests but some ownsers install an amp under one of the seats. I will be installing a 1.2 cap under the drivers seat.

    2 things with that.

First, mount the 2 drivers as close to possible to each other. That will help the 2 woofers act more like 1 larger driver and improve sound.
Second, make sure that you actually have a sealed enclosure. If you are using the sheet metal of the truck as part of it, dampen it heavily with something like Noico mat.

I've always made my saw gas with non-ethanol premium and my Stihl 041 has always started on the 3rd pull for 20 years. even if the saw gas is 6 months old

The hardest part is finding ethanol-free premium. That wasn't an issue when I lived up in Idaho, but down here in New Mexico there is only one gas station that I have found with ethanol-free gas and it's 86.
