Man I haven’t deadlifted for 2 weeks, done minimal back work in comparison to what I normally do, and my back is still sore from a fucked up squat I did 2 weeks ago. Nothing acute or like in my spine, just like the muscle is sore, especially bending down. Really getting annoying.

He was born on Memorial Day weekend and I think she had 3mo paid leave so was originally scheduled to go back to work at the end of August. That was the original plan. She was virtual before she went out because of the pandemic but since they were in discussion to go back to in person by the time she was going back she decided to take the extra time off to see how things would shake out. Her school has had some people go out for testing and contact tracing but I don't think any confirmed cases yet. But she works with special needs children so no chance they could adhere to social distance/face mask guidelines and she takes 0 chances when it comes to her baby lol

I'm glad you guys have that flexibility. Sounds ideal to have a kid and settle in with them for a year before going back to work.

I’m going into panic mode. I was able to score a standard BB (25lbs?) today. I’m trying to get an olympic bar but beggers cant be choosers.

Got sets of plates up to 45lbs

Wanted bumper plates but holy fuck. Didnt relize they cost twice as much.

Have a squat rack I will hit the buy button on if shit shuts down :goingcrazy:

Umm, not really. There are specific exercises you can do to increase the size and definition of them. Just like the calf

Any paternity leave in your profession?

And that's awesome. My wife works with special needs people, adults though but she has worked with children long ago

the first month or so felt like it was non stop but we got a groove and it’s been good since. Sleep is still all over the place but it feels more normal now

I work from home already so it’s been good for all of us. Actually I can thank covid for that. I was having to go to the office everyday up until April when we shut down but as of yesterday they decided this work from home thing was productive and had me come in to clean out my office and move it all home permanently.

Yeah my company has a good family leave plan for either mom or dad. It’s up to 10 weeks of leave BUT you had to be employed for at least 6mos before that kicked in. I was at 5mo and 3 weeks when he was born. He came a week early :bananadead:

luckily I still get 5 weeks. I haven’t taken any of it yet. Starting Dec 8th I am off work until Jan 4 and then I’ll still have another 2ish weeks to take sometime around April/May before my wife goes back to work. We are planning some sort of vacation, in whatever capacity Covid will allow...

I went to the rock climbing gym last night with a friend. The first time i've ever been in one of those and it was hard. My friend told me before we got there that my forearms will be the first muscle to fatigue out and it was, but I am happy I had been doing grip work for the past year or so. I def feel like I was in good enough shape to be in there and not hold her back. Also there was a small gym in the rock climbing gym, so if your local gym is closing maybe see if theres a rock climbing gym that has weightlifting gear that is staying open?

and yes, I believe you can increase your forearm size and definition with specific exercises. You don't even need anything special:

A few roll ups and downs with this thing and your forearms are guaranteed* to be screaming. *adjust weight as needed

I got on the eliptical to warm up today and I must have tweaked something in my mid back doing rows yesterday.
One of those little muscles. It was all shitty, untill I starting doing DLs. Then it was fine :notsure:

    Lets hope not.

I’ve also switched to sitting on an exercise ball as my office chair and I turn into a fucking 4 year old on it so it could be from that.
