Shoulda spoken up earlier. Was happy to strike a deal for a TW member. Sold them at full list on PB.

    Went to superboost.
Nope. Bought the exact same alloy wheelset in SB.

Carbon is great, and maybe someday. Just not in my budget right now.
    Correct.

    EDITED:
Do yourself a big favor. Don’t hit jumps with lips till you are good at bunny hops. Make sure you have that down, apply the same principal to the jump transition.
You’ll pump into the belly of the jump, pop at the lip, and everything will be the same as a bunny hop.
If you find yourself landing rear heavy, tap the rear brake and that will drop the nose end.
If you don’t have bunny hops down and learn to pump into the belly of the jump, you WILL dead sailor eventually and eat some shit.

excellent advice. I definitely feel like I understand bunny hops, and do them ok on level ground, over small roots and such but that's about it.

I lock mine up with a chain to my TC bed stiffener. The steel on that is way thicker than that little D-ring in the bed corners, but I'm still not gonna leave it unattended for any meaningful amount of time.

really? I’ve never tapped back brake on MTB, but on dirt bike that makes front end dive

I thought that tapping the rear would make the front dive? and vice versa?

ok let's discuss this at length. the video I mean.

starting at 8 seconds lol. first jump you seem to hit (also as far as I've made it in the video). I haven't even hit anything like that, any ideas on size/distance?

which one's the "first jump"? the very first thing you see int he video? or the jump you see on the 8 second mark?
the very first jump you see onthe video is probably a good...10 feet high. not much of a gap. more of a hip. probably about...a bike's length long before the true transition.

that video is kinda outdated. they made a few changes to the trail this year. VASTLY improved it but it's all beat to shit because everyonew as riding it. lol.

yeah I realized there was a jump before after I posted. I meant the 8 second mark jump.

the trail looks smooth, flowy, and gopro effect not so steep.

Yeah, that big hipped table is a kinda scary because you cant see the landing so you go in sorta blind the first lap.

Levitate is predominantly northern Utah medium size jumps. Just big enough to be a little intimidating, but small enough you wont die if you pull a Johnny Cochrane. Plus they are well built and flowy so the effort to clear stuff is low. Really helps confidence.

it's got some real good flow. you can definitely keep your jump flow most of the way down. the lips are beat to shit right nwo so you really have to push into them. not super steep neither. There's one part at the 1:42 mark that is fairly steep and you really ahve to gain speed to clear the next jump. but for the most part, pretty good. really fun to just shuttle it with your buddies.

tapping either brake will make front end dive.

True. fairly medium sized. but there are plenty of people who overestimate their abilities and get hurt on levitate laps. Wind is always a factor too. I've definitely been blown around and scratched up my arm.

yeah see I don't have anything local that's like that, where you can just ride into it and go. nothing to build confidence like that. driving 2 hours south to ride and maybe @whitedlite can answer if the jumps are "flowable" for lack of knowledge of a better term. I've rolled them all, but they feel like it's either don't brake and you get SENT or brake and you roll them lol. I don't know the inbetween.

Start popping off of everything. It’s way more fun and you learn to jump over some big things. I bunny hopped on this sketchy ass part of trail over a big rock and was like dang, a year ago I would have gone around that or rolled over it.

Also, I’m a fan of step ups. I feel like they are harder to clear because you need more speed but they feel safer since you stay closer to the ground depending on the jump. First bike park I rode has a sweet step up that you hit no brake and it’s super fun and confidence boosting.
