well shit @frenchee you better not be holding up our campers. We have 3 of us that were all supposed to go at the same time. 1st, 2nd, 3rd gens.

But then you are the only 1st gen on this list. Maybe it will get some priority so people can see a 1st gen. They seemed excited to see 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in there at the same time. You know for IG and all.

There are off the shelf, extruded aluminum clamps from GCI that work for a 1st gen.

That would be rad. That time of the year would be hard for me but would coincide with the big 40 on my end. All the cool kids have group wedge camper trips mind as well.

They are nice. As long as the cables are secured and protected from fraying, there should be any issues along the lifetime of the camper.

The one downside to the Drifter (and Flippac and Wildernest and all non-commercial canopy/shells) is the aluminum framed, glass window with Bauer T-handles.
I do like how SuperPacific has a solid, aluminum rear door with a smaller window cut out and solid latches.

We'll see how they do in the wintertime as you all start to get them and use them. The GFC has issues with their latches freezing and you can't get in. I'd think there is enough leverage to be had with the handle on the SP doors in order to overcome any water that has seeped in/around and frozen solid.

Interesting. Yea we'll have to wait and see.
I was locked into my ARE shell last Thanks Giving when the water on the outside handle froze over. Had to wait a bit then hit it hard from inside. lol

Good point. I thought the GFC was were a neat design but could def see issues in cold weather.
