I'm 3 mins from an REI and 3 bike shops. Or I could give you some loaners for the day.

Sounds like hitting CC makes more sense for your timeline. It'll be sweet.

I agree, but shops have been so stripped lately, I'm taking the "get it where I can approach." Besides, Backcountry isn't any better after their antics.

I do try to hit my smaller LBS down the street when I can though.

Backcountry can go fly a kite after screwing over one of my clients, along with so many others.

Too bad the small shop in WY I got that sticker from didn't have backcountry.com sucks sticker. :D

You’d like riding with me then. I do some sick curb drops and get ecstatic about it.

I buy local when I can, I’m small business on the side myself with plasma cutting as well as garage door installation and repair.

So I’ll support the LBS, unless I’m getting some 50% plus off discounts on last years gear online. Lol

Great Outdoor Shop is in Pinedale. I went to high school in Big Piney and Pinedale was our cross county rival in sports. I will say that the sports teams did put up a fight, the girls, they just put out. LOL. May have to stop in and check them out next time I drive through Pinedale.

My friend showed me a shop near her place the other day. Literally a mini REI which makes it 10x better.

How do you like that 36? Think that’s gonna be my next upgrade. Currently running a stock 34.

It’s a Factory ‘20 36, with a Push ACS3 coil. I only ran it stock a few miles, so can’t give you a good impression. The way it’s set up now, it’s ridiculously good.
However, I’m runnin a Factory ‘21 34 e-bike fork with the grip2 vvc damper and I’m very impressed. It’s more solid than my ‘20 Lyrik. I wouldn’t hesitate on the whole fox lineup, as long as you’re getting the grip2 damper.

My ‘’20 Fox Factory 34 / 150 has the grip2 damper. Super reactive plush fork. What’s your take on that damper and why it’s so much better?

Thanks for the info. Downside is I’d end up with the fit 4. They don’t make a 150 36 in the grip 2. Only a 160. Which would probably be fine. Just content with 150/140 suspension.

I could be missing something, but couldn’t you just get a 160 fox 36 and swap the air shaft? I’m running a 160mm fox 36 grip 2 and have been considering reducing it to 150mm

I very well could. Hadn’t really considered it. But it’s a possibility

You could also find OEM take-offs / extras in the Performance/Performance Elite variants if you look around the web. I have an OEM Performance Elite Fox 36 grip2 with 140mm travel :)
