    If you purchased your truck knowing that you wanted to tow a camper, and you look to make sure it has a tow package, but when you get it home you see that it doesn’t have a hitch... would you be ok with that, of course not. A hitch is inexpensive, and easy to install too

    Can one of you guys with a 2020 confirm what type of fluid your transmission uses ? Last year , it was semi-synthetic World Standard that was released in 2003 . Should be in your new owners manual . Also , when your new transmission needs to be serviced ? Use to be 60K under ideal conditions
    Just looking to see if Toyota came out with some new miracle transmission fluid to accommodate the extra heat placed on the transmission by removing the tiny aftercooler

    I went out to 100,000 no mention of changing the transmission fluid, even under severe duty, I will check again to be sure. Fluid type is WS only

    I found where they want a auto transmission fluid change if severe duty at 120,000 - unbelievable

    120 K under severe duty is incredibly insane lol . I am basing this opinion on what I have seen from 2nd gen 5 speed transmissions mind you . Haven't seen many 6 speeds yet for overhauls , just fluid changes .

    I tow a camper pretty frequently in the mountains, so I try to change the fluid every 30k.

    Yeah the Tundra guys are enraged with the new Trans Cooler Delete feature. Seems odd to just delete it mid-cycle. Would be a deal breaker for me. Not gonna void my warranty adding aftermarket stuff.

    Here is a thought. My sport has a skid plate under the engine only, the off road and pro includes under the transmission, how much will this exacerbate the issue...

    Would anyone be interested in a transmission cooler kit that you can purchase with instructions? I built a couple kits for the Tundras that are sold at genuinecoolingsystems.com. Any interest in this for the Tacoma? If so, ill design a bracket and kit for the Tacoma.

    Those are some nice cooler kits . Great easy to use website as well

    In looking at my 2020's Maintenance Log I found a "replace transmission fluid or oil" entry at 60,000 miles if towing, etc.
