I am trying to go back to the stock 04B14 TSB file. Since I have a OV 04B14 file flashed, techstream will not allow me to flash the TSB.
When I first flashed the TSB, I used the flash utility to read the ECU creating a p5f file.

Now, when I try to use the flash utility within VF tuner, I get this error message:

    Untitled1.jpg

Is there no way to go back to the stock file?

I replied to your other post. TS will only flash newer software than you have. It doesn't know that you have a tune in there.

You want to use it in offline mode and .cuw files are located in the first post. To start the update you double click on the .cuw file, don't try to open them from within Techstream.

You don't need Techstream open, it will do it's thing and walk you through the steps.

Techstream will start on its own by opening the .cuw file. Without Techstream installed you cannot run the .cuw file at all.

I haven't had any issues, personally, with having windows defender on or off, but that doesn't mean someone may have some setting that breaks the functionality. Easiest solution is to turn it off rather than find the exact setting to change.

After installing the update then you can reset LV's via Techstream. It is recommended, and I believe the instructions are linked in the first post as well.

Techstream is needed for both, the update and resetting LV's (if you don't have vFTuner to reset values). Basically, the .cuw file is associated with Techstream. Kind of like how an image or text file knows to open up with a specific program, the .cuw file will do the same.

Whenever I try to do step 21 it won't let me open anything because it says there is a virus. Even tried run anyway and it won't work. Any ideas?

Try right button clicking on the file and running as administrator. If that doesn't work you'll need to disable all AV.

Like @ktbell444 said, you're A/V is still on. For Windows Defender, there are about four switches that you need to throw to turn it completely off.

well, it's impossible to update ECU on work PC.

They have certain settings I cannot change even if I'm disconnected from internet.

Probably no. Either the TS V14 or V15 needs admin access to install and register.

You can use Bootcamp on a Mac?

It’s more than sufficient. Theres people running the tuning software on $200 shitboxes.

All you should need is storage space and a flash drive. I did it on my 2012 MacBook last week with no problem at all.
Apple has a guide on how its done, and windows 10 is free to download (minus the authentication code which isn't required to use windows, but is recommended by Microsoft).

I setup bootcamp 3 years ago when i started tuning and never entered a key. It just stops you from getting updates. It’s no biggie, i only use it for the short period of time when I’m tuning

This is the general consensus I found when scouring to make sure I wasn't going to brick my ecu. It seems to limit your ability to customize the wallpaper/theme, and adds a watermark to the lower right corner of the screen. Along with the lack of updates, but for the occasional techstream use it is perfect.

If my plan was to use windows as my main software I would fork out the ~$90 for the code, but to use it a few times I don't see any problem in it.
