Progress is slow, but today I got the majority of the trim off, pressure washed the pickup and started roughing up the paint with scotch brite. Hoping I’ll have the thing totally ready for paint including body work by thanksgiving. Tomorrow I’ll pull the interior for the spots we have to get behind the panels to straighten them and hopefully do a little bit of straightening on the frame.

Someone not that long ago was talking about bed lining their fender flares and they replaced the rubber on the fender flares with new material. Does that ring a bell to anyone? Looking to get the rubber for when I put the fender flares back on
planning on using a DA sander for a few spots where I’ll need to use bondo, but the 80 grit scotch brite is really working great for the majority of it.

Guessing you were replying to my post. Not asking about the process. I’m asking about the rubber edge on the fender flare since I need to replace mine. I was thinking that this was the product that someone else recently used, but wasn’t sure KING FENDER FLARES Edge Trim Rubber Gasket WELTING T-Style 30' FEET - with Alignment Tool for CAR and Truck Wheel Wells - Double Edge - Length 30’ FEET - Automotive Adhesive Tape Bonds to Flare https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R1K8KL1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_CNFTFbXZ943V7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Nothing’s wrong with it. Just want to lift the tire higher, put it at a slight angle, and add 10 gallons worth of fuel/water storage

It’s a slow process. I’m. between both places right now, hopefully I’ll be out of the bay by the end of the month.
All/most of my shit is still in Walnut Creek. 4Runner and truck stuff is in Sac

Curious for those running SPC UCAs. How often do you change the ball joint? I think I have about 70-80k on mine.

LBJ have been changed and are at roughly 60k.

mostly high way. Some fire roads and a few trail runs, But not much.

I just installed Kings and saw that I have a freshly ripped driverside Inner CV rip. So debating if I should just replace it all or just replace the CV. There’s a small clunk coming from the driver side at low speeds going on and off drive ways. Which only happened after installing my kings. Was never there with my old 5100/eibach. Paint pen marks show that bolts have not moved.
