This weather is fantastic for enjoying the hikes and bike rides. The park is practically empty during certain times right now as well which is crazy to see.

Haha thanks! Probably would've been wiser to start smaller, but figured if you're gonna learn might as well dive in headfirst. Still have a lot more learning to do for sure!

I installed 1.25” because of the rub on my SPC’s. Then it rubbed on the fender wall. Nasty sound. CMC, pinch weld, cutting, trimming, more cutting and trimming, heat gun —- it is okay now, lol.

I’m not sure on that one. I haven’t used the phone nav yet to see if it displays in the gauge console. I’ll try it soon.

Nice! I did something similar. Routered some cup/utensil holders into some HDPE and cut the original composite tailgate to keep the fitted end caps.

Please excuse the mess. The truck (and the tailgate) get a lot of camping/recreational use.

Took me a minute due to weather (lots of rain, and the garage is too small to open the doors more than just enough to get out!), but finally got it all installed this week over the course of a few days between showers. The responses have been pretty much like all the rest, others can't believe they're covers, etc. I can't wait to see what they look like after they've had a couple weeks to settle in and do a final cinching!

The padding of the covers does add more height to the seat than I expected, but it's not horrible. And very comfortable.

The heated seats are awesome. Takes a minute to come through the seats, but once it does it sure makes my late night commutes a hell of a lot better. I work third shift, getting into that cold truck was a major motivator in the install. And I love the look of the switches, it all blends in so nicely!

I know everyone says this, but this site is going to become a money pit for me. I've got that mod itch now, can't wait for the next project!

Thanks for the suggestion! This is one of those "once you see, you can't unsee" moments. Never noticed it til now, but in all the pics on here from those who've removed it sure do look nice. But I also do a ton of highway commuting, so we'll have to see how big the mpg hit actually is. Definitely gonna give it a try though.

Doesn't Toyota post the MPG for the Tacoma's as the same across all models? Makes ya wonder what that darn dam does.

It puts more money in mother Toyota's purse.
