I'm no damper nerd, and honestly can't tell the difference in front of my face if I saw them. But on the trail, there is a very noticeable difference (to me). Most people think the biggest difference is their adjustability, but no matter how much I tuned the fit4 damper (including shimming), it never felt nearly as good as the grip2 on factory settings. Then further dialing it in to my riding styler/terrain/preference made it that much better.

I'd add that that ACS3 is an incredible upgrade for the hard-charging bikes. It's incredibly controlled and plush, and just feels amazing under the bike in the rough-as-shit terrain. Back-to-back with the new vvc grip2 equipped forks it's only really noticeable in the really rough and big terrain though, and for the daily driver trail bike, I kept the air and low weight.

Three options: Keep the 34, throw in the Grip2 damper ($300, but 20% coupons abound right now), or get the new 36 performance elite ($1,000) and get a new 150 air shaft ($50), or get the Factory 36 in the pic below.
Check out the site to configure the fork you want...
Personally, I'd just get the factory 36. The new 36 design is great, with the fart buttons, new crown and lowers, oil ports, etc...
You can always sell your 34 to make some of that new fork $$ back too, and use those 20% coupons...

Tell me about it ... need to get out of here. Envious of your weather.

Good news is I'm traveling to Iowa next week and should be able to get some rides in 'down' there.

    What’s the general consensus?
    Pike Ultimate (charger 2.1) or
    Fox 34 (grip2)

Both would be at 130mm travel and 51mm offset for short travel trail bike, Evil Following

The Pike is Evil spec’ed for that bike, but I’m considering the Fox. Missed out on the small batch Helms

27.5 wheels will fit a 29er fork. Tire clearance for days!

    Done. Thank you!

Anyone have recommendations on a women's saddle? The Bontrager Arvadas are a literal pain.

You may be thinking of a 34 in a 150 with grip 2. I have a 2020 Intense Primer that has a Factory 34 / 150 grip 2. Reason being is that Intense commissioned Fox to build that fork for the 2020 Primers. They don’t sell them to the masses.

My wife does not ride much at all and is by no means an expert but she really likes to saddle on her Liv. Basically Giants for woman. Has a wider sit bone area and she says its the first bike saddle she finds comfortable.

No first hand experience but the WTB Deva is female marketed, but gets high marks in the comfort dept from both genders.

I'm running the '21 e-bike version of the 34 factory. It's at 140 w/Grip2 damper. The thing is incredible good, honestly surprises me every time I ride it. I got the e-bike version, which has thicker stanchions, for added rigidity. It charges harder than my '20 Lyrik @150, which also had the Charger 2.1 and new air shaft installed.

Get the 36 PE 160, new 150 air shaft.
