I am so happy that my full trash barrel left on my front driveway to be picked up this morning wasn't knocked over. That would have been.....let's call it "interesting."

We are getting there! Next week floors and counter tops all go in. Need to finish a little electric and final plumbing and will be done.
    I think two weeks.

Million dollar question... when will the power be connected o_O

p.s. @lynyrd3 I spent two hours knocking concrete nubs and metal rod ends off the basement walls and bringing insulation down to meet blower test regulations.

    what fun!

My contractor has done 2, this will be his third. He had the guy come check after insulation and make sure we were on the right track so we are hopeful.
thanks! We got a log kit from a place in vt then built a house around it so it meets modern codes. Putting the MIL in there and really excited for her, it’s going to be nice. There is an upstairs with her bed, closet and a half bath. About 1000sqft inside, 700 outside.

I’ll try to get a few exterior shots tomorrow.

Nice. I'm in the process of buying a house that has all exposed 10" beams in the ceilings. Would love if they were raw like you have, but these have been painted and stained a very dark brown over the yrs.

It was suggested we do that, but we aren't going to. We are just putting some clear coat on them so they don't get colored with age over time. You will have to post a couple pics when you close!

    Good luck!

Got two! There is a place nearby maybe cheshire (wife went not me) thats doing a liquidation sale and she got both slabs for 1/2 of what one used to cost!

One of them will be the island counter top, and then the second will be used for a "bar" on the back window. At least I think thats what the second one is being used for :anonymous:
