No in the overlapping seams it is required per the caveat of being able to go below 3.

    I know zero residential code

I don’t know much past roofing and reforcement around penetrations for commercial either tbh. But parapet walls are really no big deal will rolled goods.. there are a few different options depending on how much cash you wanna spend and how tough you want it to be

That’s a thru fasten multi rib and yes! They use butyl tape 2” wide in the overlap it never cures and stays tacky forever. But it’s has screws all over it. Standing seams get a much smaller amount from a chub gun (little different product same idea just comes in a caulk tube)no screws in standing seam

I'm typically doing projects that code doesn't even know what to do with so we end up having to get engineering and for residential it's typically not that way. I do projects for example where the studs are staggered, a 2x4 on a 6x6 top and bottom plate, so that we can insulate fully and no thermal breaks due to studs also use zip sheathing or equivalent. Or we'll do 6x6 exterior walls and do the california corners, etc. Floating insulated slab foundations, site setting to use passive solar, all kinds of stuff like that.

Yeah it just said overlapping seams need sealed so on a roof 3 and up apparently they don't need a seal (I'd still do it). I would assume the same goes for standing seam since they are technically an overlapping seam of sorts just not the typical. So much prettier to look at and quite a bit more expensive.

Residential is getting new Metal roofing shingles I should look into those and what the manufac. requirements are going to be since it's only a matter of time. They are meant to look like slate or wood shakes.

I'm big on wanting lots of slope too especially if you are in an area of high snow or rainfall get that crap off and away to limit even the remote possibility of getting a leak from a penetration.

Yea that was fun in 2008 when my hours got cut to 35 a week, I had a 75mile round trip commute, was making $15per hour and gas was close to $5 a gallon. I would hyper mileage my tacoma to get an extra one way trip to work out of it, 56mph it got the best mpg without me getting killed on the highway.

It'll probably be a pontoon but not double decker, haha. I borrowed a friends boat two weeks ago that he may want to sell. Tritoon with a 250 Yamaha, man that thing sucks down some fuel. $4 a gallon would not be fun.

Look at how much weight you got on it. Also look at repower get rid of that anchor of a yami and look at the new 300 V8 verados those have some of the lowest torque curves out right now and pick up and move big heavy boats while doing great in the GPM department. Yes in boating it's measured opposite of cars

Pontoons are one of the most versitile boats. If that one has a small forward deck space in front of the wall you can easily set it up for 3 crappie rod spreads and for drifting the deep channels for big cats.

Yeah we were ten deep plus two babies and dog, haha. But this boat is a 2020 with 35 hours on the clock, so if we were to buy it I'm not putting a new motor on it any time soon! (hopefully)
