Worst case scenario, you have your skills to fall back on. Picking up a 2 year degree in some trade (if even required by your employer) isnt a hard thing to do if youve already got or near done with a bachelors.
The key is to be the one responsible for replacing people with machines. ;)

So, per the recommendation, the jacket is a bit too tight around the chest as I can't start the zipper at the bottom without suffocating so it's going to get exchanged.

Lady said their jackets run a size larger as I originally was going to buy a medium; the medium is worn by 6'1-6'4 guys.....the small has the right sleeve length, but the area around the hip/waist is too tight and so is the chest.

    :(

Otherwise I dig it as I need one anyway

I hate buying clothes online for this reason, especially nowadays you can't even try anything on anymore before you buy it. Fitting rooms are so 2019

Get a gig with a DOD contractor and then you don't have to worry as much about having a computer job. Especially not having it outsourced to India or some other country. You can still loose the job but the chances are much, much lower. Happy I landed this gig with Raytheon.

I know I want to get a Bachelor’s degree in something. I am considering trade school after that. I like what you do.

I absolutely hate shopping for clothes online; this is maybe the 2nd or 3rd time I've ever ordered clothes online.

Been successful each time until now.

I didn't try the hoodie I bought, only the jacket so we'll see once I get home.

I like what I do too. Especially in a smaller company where management actually cares about me and treats me like family.

Shirts, socks, underwear, usually good to go. Pants on the other hand, I rarely have much luck. Need to try the shit on. Half the pants marked the same size, same brand, same design, don't fit. There's no consistency with the stuff being made overseas.

Coders and comp-sci dudes who are good at their jobs are worth a lot more than a dime a dozen. In the bay area, it's a good way to early retirement. I'm planning to get there by ~40. With all the remote work because of COVID, you'd think companies would outsource jobs but I haven't seen it.

Yeah, I still have a ton of work to do it it. Definitely gained some clearance tho. Wrap around the corners, swing out and cut holes for a receiver.
