Thanks, man. Gonna ask some noob questions now.

VF tuner pack is the fully written OVtunes (equivalent to the previous flash kit full tunes)?

    And what is "support?"

I did read the FAQ on OVtune site, but still had questions since I'm not up to speed on the vF tuner platform here.

correct. Tune pack is the pre made tunes. Think flash kit files but for vF

support is updating vF to create / modify / flash that ecu. Typically support comes first, then the tune packs.

So once there is support for an ECU ID, vF tuner software can be used to modify the stock tune?

Are there typically also baseline tunes that are modifiable? (Not fully written OVtunes like tune packs).

Yes. You can modify stock once support is added.

thus far, you either get the stock tune or tune pack. There’s also user created tunes that are starting to float around as people get more familiar with vF

Ok sorry for more N00b questions. I have the original OVtune Dongle kit. I'm running the 1.05 base 87 tune on my 2016 automatic tacoma.

I'm fine the the performance there, the main thing I'm looking for is the alternator improvement for AGM battery. If I want to get this am I better off doing the dongle-trade in or just paying someone local to do it with the vF tune

For the dongle-trade in program, it is not very clear how this works on the website as I didn't find a product specifically for the dongle trade-in

Hi Everyone this is my first post. I purchased the OV Tune package and installed everything. I obtained my registration key, downloaded Flash Manager v 1.04 and followed the tutorial. I can get through all the steps getting my calibration code, verified connection to the car and internet but I am not able to download any of the tunes. I always get an instant error like the screenshot attached. I tried searching for a resolution but haven't found anything so far. I'm sure this is something simple I am doing wrong so any help is appreciated. Thank you!
