Not yet. It's not a priority at the moment, but I do plan on doing something with it.

    No worries !

Just thought I'd ask I might have a line on a donor tail gate to mess around with. Was just hoping for some pics of ideas in action......... I'll keep an eye on the thread.

I am planning to do something for 3rd gens as you have much more space to work with. My wife's health has been on the decline and bills are pilling up so I've been working extra hours and haven't had any time to dedicate to it. I'm hoping next Spring/Summer I'll be able to get started. I have a test 3rd gen and my 2nd gen to work with so.

Might work on it some during all the craziness since I'll be home.

I wish. So many things on the to-do list, it's hard to justify spending time on it.

I totally missed this thread! I had been wanting to do this few a few years but didn't want to pay $500 for a kit. I think it cost me $100 in parts. Last summer I made my own. Bought a piece of diamond plate, cut to size, wrapped edges with door trim/ edging.... cut out part of my inside and installed. Coated with bed liner. Works great. I don't have a pick of the finished product but rest assured it looks better than this.

I think that's where I ran across the Wagongear unit, or possibly Expedition Portal. Very cool stuff. The advantage of LCs is you don't have to worry about water intrusion when the tailgate is closed.

It's holding up very well. Thank you for asking. And, last summer (2019) I got tired of the crappy camper light so I put LED lights in. It's wonderful.
