I just bought some jacked up ones and am building new runners and plates for it. Using 1/4" wall square tube. Gonna be stout. The frame will break before these sliders will.

Also, I emailed Brandon at Coastal to see if they are doing anything for Black Friday. I'll let all you know when I get a response, as well as post it up for the Black Friday 2020 thread.

Sorry it took so long. I am incredibly selfish and normally only come on to look up parts. But this is the 3d printed box. Its pretty cheap to make. And its easy to just zip tie it somewhere. I guess you could do the same thing with Tupperware. I covered the screws, the hole for the wires, the switch, the plug and the seams with silicone. Its completely waterproof. I mounted the contractors on the passenger side inner fender. I plan on rewiring everything with 14g wire I get from work. (I'm a forklift mechanic/welder by trade) I can get the super flexible wiring that has hundreds of small copper fibers instead of a few thick wires. And the insulation is 100% silicone. I will be making it longer and feeding it though the fire wall and have the switch, plug and reciever on the back side of my glove compartment. That way I don't have to open the hood to turn the switch on. I'll post pictures if I every get to it. Lol if anyone has suggestions on a better way I'd love to hear it! Or if anyone has a suggestion for something better thats just as good too lol. As far as I know it's not too common to put a apex in a coastal offroad bumper so if I can answer any questions about what I did, I'd love to help!20200425_194846.jpg

Yeah, but now I've been given the green light to do the HC rear and skid set so.... Currently waiting to see if we can put together another local group buy and add 10% savings on shipping on top of the 15% of products again.

I have welded up many of these bumpers and charge around $300 buffed and ready for powder coater.
Lot of people don’t consider the cost of consumables when doing these.

Oh well then go asking fabricators and tell them it’s a full cut out bumper just needs welding

When you are looking at 65-150 an hour depending on the place and their experience. I bet it takes minimum 3 hours for a pro with all the tools to weld one up, smooth out seams, and prep it for coating.

BigDaddy4760's response is what I would expect to see price wise from someone who knows what they are doing and will do it right. low end of $150 would be a buddy of a buddy who owns a welder but isn't particularly great at welding who is also getting a $30 case of cheap beer for their time as well.

why would anybody ever pay a welder to assemble a bumper

the entire point of spending $500 on a kit instead of $1k+ pre-made,
is that you take that other ~$500, spend it on a welder, build it yourself, and then walk away keeping a nice new welding machine you can use for other projects down the road like welding on sliders

I am sure it's not that hard to do or learn
