Budget build drop hitch. I have a 6800 lb boat/trailer I'm going to tow around the yard today, go over bumps roughly and stuff, wish me luck lmao

Gave my winch and new tire chains a work out this morning while trying to get to my hunting spot. I failed.

And yeah, I know Toyota says not to run chains on the front. But they weren’t coming to help me!

    Oh, and I need lockers.

Edit to add: for reference, my tires are 33’s.

Just the usual wash and detail. Truck has been sitting filthy from the last hurricane that blew through and all the debris and dirt that got blown against it while wet. She’s shined up just in time for date night with the wife.

I run chains up front all the time. You just have to be careful there is nothing loose with the chains that can cause damage to your suspension when the wheels are turning, and that there is plenty of clearance around the chains so they never make contact with any part of the truck when you are at full lock/droop. I use v-bars in the back and a smaller/lighter set up front just to be sure there is no contact and it works well. never had any issues and I have a lot of winter logging road miles on the set up.

I also drive a Jeep for work and we use chains on all 4 tires quite regularly in the winter, never any issues.

I have standard ladder chains on all four. Now that I know the ones I have will clear in front, I might buy a better set for the rear and keep one set as backup.

Finally had time to start my new steering wheel leather. Surprisingly one of the most difficult installs. Just have stitching left to do tomorrow. But looks great so far!

Removed the awning for the winter and added seat belt extensions because fat butt. I recommend getting them off eBay. Walmart's are trash. Left on picture are ebay's 21.5 mm tongue.
