Remote Starter Help (5spd)

I would really like to do a budget friendly Remote Starter for my 2002 tacoma 4cyl 5spd. I dont need keyless entry or a car alarm, just a starter, I live in a super low crime area. I really would like a simple cheap way to do it without sensors or other junk, I can remember to leave it in neutral, you know. I was thinking about overriding the clutch pedal sensor or something along those lines...I realize its tricky because its standard but if anyone has instructions or can direct me to a kit it would be awsome.

If i remember right in the manual it says dont do the no clutch start (little button cant remember the name) unless absolutely necessary. Thats all I know about it I have been kinda looking around for something as well.

 

I guess that makes sense..it works the starter a bit harder to crank the engine with the clutch engaged. But there has to be a way to do it..I called the place where I get all my aftermarket parts and they say they don't sell or install a kit for a standard vehicle, something about it being too much of a pain in the neck.

 

i just put on in my 5 speed. a compustar. they are manual safe. they have an extra relay that checks for the brake. you stop the truck keep your foot on the brake. pull the ebrake take the key out and the truck stays running till you shut the door. that way it knows its in neutral

 

How safe is this on starting it without the clutch tho? Wont it still be pretty hard starting?

 

no its not in gear its no different you pushing in the clutch is a safety thing

I dont understand exactly still, how can it start with out the clutch depressed?

I sent an email to the company you mentioned asking them for some clearence as soon as i get a reply ill post it up here

 

its just a relay that jumps the clutch switch. it will only do this when you shut down the truck in the correct sequence. if you open the door it candles out.
foot on brake
pull e brake
remove key(truck stays running)
shut door and lock (truck shuts off)
if you open the door or interrupt it at all the remote start will not work
