in the past ive bought a few blemish or sometimes called "b stock" in which the letter "b" was stamped on the guitar...usually by the s/n. in this case they couldnt stamp it because of the placement would cause further damage.

i think since it wasnt perfect and could not be sold as such (even though b-stock can be sold as new) they opted to change the s/n instead. in all cases ive had, they all played and looked good, may just be banged up or some other minor flaw.

i had one acoustic where it was perfect apart from the fact that the back of the guitar had the veneers glued opposite the proper bookmatch. so it failed the qc process.

as far as the "used" stamp, the only thing that makes is...

    1. wrong photo...as you suggested
    2. it was stamped that way from the factory to keep dealers from selling it as primo.
    3. may have been an in-store demo guitar and was "used" but "new" since it was not sold to the "first customer"

you may bring it up to the seller...who knows, they may give you a discount or even give you some free stuff lol...

I bought it 6 months ago. It’s long past getting a discount or anything lol. Like I mentioned in the other posts though, it plays perfectly fine and sounds great. Got it cheaper than a brand new one so I’m not too bummed.

Good travels...there has been quite a few critics, and perhaps Nikki himself that has said he's not a good bass player

    His lyrics tho

Nice! Nikki Sixx is a great bass player and a personal fav, very melodic. I’ve played bass in bands most of my life.

    Working on timing today.
    Here's what I did.

Found the metronome online for a click track. Currently running @140bpm.
Run a 1/8 in jack from comp speaker to ch 8 of my Tascam and record a 4 min click track.

Next, play the recorded click track on Tascam and record left guitar on ch 1 (just making up some random rhythms).

Return to zero. Playback the click track and left rhythm and record 2nd rythem on ch 2.

Playback both rythems and click track and record drums on ch 3 and 4 in stereo.

Playback click track, ch 1,2 3 and 4 and record bass on ch 5 and 6 in stereo.

I can now delete the click track because the drums have been recorded. So that leaves ch 7 and 8 open for whatever else.

Well, that's the plan anyway. Just getting started. Lol.
