Remember to aim them correctly- not just by pushing them down all the way. A serviceable aim can be done by parking 25' from a wall on flat ground. Measure from ground to center of fog light (let's say it's 18"). Place a piece of tape on the wall 4" lower (in this example, it will be 14"). That's where you place the top edge of your fog light cutoff.

If you can't aim them that low, you may need to adjust the lights forward or backward in the slotted bracket mounts.

Man! One thing is for sure about this SS3 fog light mod! It’s not a simple easy peasy deal. My WORD. Did any of y’all have issues with the bolt falling/slipping out when u were trying to tighten the Allen on? I swear I must have tried legit 8 times before I finally got it. The middle bolt on the drivers side. A combination of trying to do one at a time to trying to do both simultaneously. To doing one at a time again. dam it was frustrating. I only had time to do one bc I’m on call and also It was about to downpour and i had spent 2 hours outside ! Also. Does yalls have like some give to it Not flopping around, but it’s not like set in stone. I can press on it and it moves a bit. Maybe I have to tighten down more. But I had to get inside with rain coming. Man I don’t know how easy these are to adjust but if it’s as difficult as it wasgoing in I may just have to call it good as is

I did not have that issue. I aimed my fogs as low as I could prior to installing them.

Glad I got the SS3 sports, feel like the pros would have been overpowering.

For reference, I had yellow LED bulbs in my OEM housings and could barely see the yellow light. Def don't have that problem now

I also had the same issue with the nut falling out of its holding area.
Try setting the screw that is on the inside first (passenger side close to the engine.) and then the outside screw.

Be sure to back the adjustment screw out a lot so that you can point the fixtures down lower. With the screws still loose, point the fixtures as low as you can.Once you get both side screws tightened about 90% then you can tighten down the outside screw very tight and adjust the focus and then lock them in place using the inside screw. The adjustments screw will come in handy for making your small up and down tweaks. There is a little bit of play in the mount itself that sits in the hole but once you get everything tightened down there will be minimal movement and no bounce.

Now that you did the first one, it's only going to take you 30 minutes to do the second one. But don't worry you have probably four or five nights worth of sitting in a parking lot sitting on the ground trying to focus them lol.

I may not be understanding you correctly, but are you installing the fog lights into their brackets before installing on the truck? I installed mine and tightened them down until they were very difficult to pivot, before ever crawling under the truck. Trying to install and tighten the lights into their brackets after installation would be a huge pain in the ass.

I know the 05-11 brackets are different though. Are you talking about the attachment bolts or the adjusting screw?

Attachment bolts. Any mild tilting will throw the nuts out of place. Mine rolled out backwards and fell into the light assembly or mounting recess or simply on the ground . I remedied it by plugging that “escape route” with Tessa tape and kinda bunched it there too so it could act as a place holder. I was then able to tighten them down nicely. Man just that one little pearl would have saved me an hour and a half at least on doing the other side. Man it was a biatch!
@tattooedsnake man I had some issues getting my fender liner thing installed back correctly and all together. Any tips u know of or like a pictorial of the way it all comes together ? I removed The things they said but for some reason this passenger side I did isn’t coming together as nicely as the driver side did.

@prone2xl I took some pics of mine. I had an issue getting the black tab reinstalled before. It needs to sit in between the body panel and the fender liner itself. That will "clip" them together and give you a place to thread the bolt to.
I lost one of the bolts so I used a zip tie for that one lol.

I just installed my SS3 fogs on my 2011 and it was a PIA! Light output is awesome, but aiming them is a whole other PIA job. Anyway, stoked I have them installed!

Agreed. I just point them all the way down since I didn't want to blind anyone. Also need to find a location to aim them properly

Has anyone ran the yellow sae driving lenses specifically in the pros? I have 2 sets of pros in my front bumper 4k white and yellow but I don’t really use the 4k. I’m considering switching those to sae driving in yellow.

I have the driving pros in 4000K white (so not quite what you're asking) but they do work great. Their pattern is more intense and slightly more focused than the halogen reflector high beams they're supplementing. Sorry I don't have any good photos from the driver seat at the moment. I'll try to get some soon.

I control the driving light relay with an SPDT switch. Low turns them on anytime, high is tapped into the high beam circuit so I can toggle them with the factory high beam stalk (and of course, center is off).

I’ve seen your setup posted before I actually had it in mind, very nice. My truck (Ram 3500) has factory auxiliary switches so I’ll run one of my switches to a relay and to the high beam driver so when the factory aux switch is on, the lights will come on with the high beams. Works great for my 40” baja designs bar.

I dont have the Driving pro's but I have the Yellow fogs. I finally got some heavy nighttime fog the other day and was able to finally enjoy them for the intended use. The yellow does a great job at cutting through the heavy fog and the wide beam is great.

Were you ever able to get any output pics of your driving lights? I’ve decided to add ditch lights to my wife’s Sierra 1500 and there’s no other place to put lights since it has the grille flaps. I went with 4k sae driving in the pros like you have.

Her truck has factory HID headlights and they’re not bad but could definitely use some more distance and light on the edges of the road.

I haven't yet. I'll try to get pics or even an exposure-locked video comparison of driving lights with and without high beams.
