I think I may have gotten my dad thinking about buying a suppressor, he took electronic hearing protection this morning and this afternoon he said he didn't want to fool with the headset so he grabbed foam plugs and I told him that if he had a suppressor he wouldn't need earplugs. He asked if mine was on my rifle and I told him it was, I didn't take the direct thread adapter for him to be able to use it but I also didn't want to shoot my 12.5" gun without a suppressor or ear pro

Doe weekend for my zone in Fl. The last tropical storm left is soaked to the bone. I had standing water two foot high on the main trail to get back to my spot. Got to my stand and the wind started up. The wind couldn’t make up its mind where to blow from. Oh well, can’t kill one from the couch. Nothing at first light, not even hogs moving. Then at 0800 the “woods” came alive. A group of four doe tried to sneak past behind me about 75 yards. They were moving pretty good and I had to grunt super loud to get them to stop. I picked the largest doe in the group. I felt it was a good shot but lost sight of her in the under brush. I have her 30 mins and decided to get down and check on her. I saw blood right away from where I marked the shot. I saw where she laid down for a minute. Then I found her a few yards away. She went about 40 yards from where I shot her. An easy hunt and some more meat in the freezer, I’ll take it.

That’s beautiful country. We’re seeing deer getting harvested from the plains, mountains, swamps and forests all across the continent. Pretty cool thread.

Just picked up that last buck I shot. Caped, deboned, steaks, whole tenderloins, and the rest ground. $90 total, all vacuumed sealed. Came out to be 84lbs of clean meat. Wonder how much that sucker actually weighed on the hoof.
