Want to get sliders and a full set of skids for my Gen 3 but all of the manufacturers seem to be in Arizona, California, Colorado, etc and the shipping is pricey.

Have called around to a few off-road stores but nobody has them in stock, they all seem to focus on lifts and suspension.

Are there any fab shops in the northern half of the state that make them? Or any stores that carry them?

Northern half of California? There is BAMF in the bay area and Relentless in Reno area.

Have you considered RCI for your Skids and potentially your sliders? We have them marked down right now for Black Friday and we also offer free shipping on all skids! In addition, I show this in Georgia, so there would be no sales tax. I have included a link below if you're interested!

    Best Regards!

Probably closest you’d find is SOS offroad out of South Carolina that offers something specific to a Tacoma already pre-fab. Only other shop I can think of is ACC Garage but they primarily do Land Cruiser type stuff and are on the pricey side.

Also keep in mind SOS was pulled from this forum as a vendor, so they must have been having communication or lead time issues for that to have happened.

SOS Concepts is in Laurens, SC, and I ordered from them partly for that reason. Some complaints about communication, but I'm giving them a shot.

No one in GA makes armor for Tacos. All of my armor is from SOS Offroad Concepts in SC - front and rear bumpers, sliders, 3x skids. http://sosoffroadconcepts.com/ Their product is good and VERY well priced, especially with the 20% off sale right now (use the code BF20).

I ordered all of mine bare metal and picked up from the shop, so no shipping costs and I saved a few hundred bucks by painting them myself. Plus, when I touch up the skids and sliders and bumper - it's all getting touched up with the same bedliner that I originally painted it with, so the paint match is perfect. People pay more shipped for a single finished bumper from BAMF than I have in all my armor combined.

My SOS armor has held up well to a lot of use. I've high centered on my sliders several times, dragged the truck on the skids, and tugged things forwards and backwards with the bumpers. I took a hit so hard on my HC rear that it broke the hitch step I had mounted on the hitch. I've probably got 20k miles in towing with the HC rear. Anyways, it all still looks great after I've touched it up and has kept me from destroying my truck.

From what I understand, SOS got a bunch of flak and was removed from the forum because a jig was messed up for a mid skid so they sent out about a dozen skids that didn't fit. SOS is run by a guy named Eddy - it's his tiny family business so it's not uncommon for the company to take few days to reply. When the defective skids went out some VERY vocal members went nuts and spammed the forum bashing SOS instead of waiting for Eddy to reply. I had a minor issue with my streamline front bumper and they offered to replace it, but I opted to just chop a bit with an angle grinder and call it a day... It was less effort to do that than bitch about it from behind a keyboard. Eddy is willing to make right and stands behind his product, some people are just snowflakes that have way too much time on their hands.

Shipping costs suck but if you keep looking and end up having to ship them now would be the time to buy with all the Black Friday deals.

picked up the skid trio yesterday and he helped my throw on the IFS before heading to gulches. also have his sliders and front bumper everything so far has fit and I picked it all up so no shipping. I don’t know what other people have had happen but he has always been stand up for me. They are a small operation so customer service isn’t perfect of course but they responded most times within a week. There is also fab fours in Lancaster idk how much Tacoma specific some they have just learned how close they are

I have @Mobtown Offroad full skids with the exhaust re route and love them. They definitely take a beating. They are heavily braced on the back side to keep them from warping. I was going to go with their sliders but I found a set of allpro apex sliders really cheap and they have also taken a beating.

These were my first purchases for the truck before I got a lift and used them to help me slide over things to keep up with trucks on 35s haha. These trucks are very capable stock.
