    Understood.
Any product launch is a logistical nightmare. Add to that you’re openness about everything on the forums leaves you open to the constant questioning: I can’t imagine all the backed up correspondence you have in your pipeline.
Mat has so much going on with these entering the wild and setting up tuning for everyone’s truck as they get installed.

I’m antsy, but not upset. Still very impressed with how he’s handling it all. I’ll be thrilled if I get the turbo installed and tuned by Christmas.
I have a huge camping trip I’ve moved back to February now that I’d really like to be turboed by. But I want some time to make sure I have reliability issues worked out.
I’ll be passing through Moab possibly on the trip (depending on weather) and would love to have a Turbo Taco out there. Have a couple other jeep road mountain passes planned. Be a great test.

Have you officially decided on 2jz vs LS? I'd think the 2jz being so long would be a tougher fit, no?

Meso being the first completed kit then immediately moving to an engine swap would have me very nervous.

He also has/had a very custom setup, not at all comparable to anyone else putting turbos on their own trucks.

Technically, he is not the first. The first still drives and boosts with regularity.

I totally respect MESO for being all in with his Tacoma, but I don’t come close to basing my decisions on what he does. I will boost my Taco and decide for myself and I hope others do the same.

Exactly. People have to decide for themselves if this is a mod that will work for (their) particular situation. Also, When modding things you have to accept any and all risks associated.
    True words.
I wouldn’t worry too much about me. I go crazy and push the envelope on everything. Then change it and push it some more:D

I would kill to have a v8 3rd gen Taco, what do you estimate it would cost?

$15K would be my limit, after that I would rather spend the money on a SC Tundra lmao

Does that mean you will have powermax turbos for sale?

Personally I kinda hope @MESO boosts a v8 in there, but idk if the powermaxes will be too small

It’ll be close to $40k when it’s all said and done. My guess.

When someone gets this installed, if you have the capability to monitor engine oil temperature, can you check to see what the increase in average oil temperature is? You would need to get a pre install average and a post install average for your area.

Weighing the need for an external oil cooler or if the factory oil cooler can handle the increased temperatures.
