My AEM wideband gauge has been cause for some heavy chest pains.

WOT runs after around 3700-4k it would shoot up to 28 AFR, then dashes. As if I were off throttle.

I confirmed against the Haltech sensors. Tune is rich and needs some refinement, but definitely is not doing what that gauge is displaying.

Going to have to get a new sensor. See if that remedies the issue. Either that, or there is a massive exhaust leak, that happens prior to the sensor. Only during boost. Highly doubtful.

 

2nd Gen 2TR is supported in beta with our software (not all ECUs yet)

 

Is the transmission portion available for tune? Is there a list of supported ECUs or how should we go about finding out what is currently available? I had just seen your 700+ PMs comment, I'm sure you don't want that number to grow just for "is my ECU supported?"

3rd Gen all trans maps are available
2nd gen, 5spd auto, no trans / TCU yet. We are still working on cracking it. Same as GX470/460/Tundra 4.7L, 4Runner, etc all using same 5spd TCU that we are still trying to access

 

Ok, how about the 4spd auto for 2.7L on 2nd Gen?

 

Yes, we have those.
We also have 3.4L and the 4spd full TCU as well. We don't officially list the 3.4L since only a few years / models can be done. (03/04)

So now I’m confused why you say you only support some of the 2nd Gen 2.7, it seems like you support all of them.

 

Could be because of ecu ID/version. He Might not have all of them yet

 

I remember talk about ids but I don’t know anything about it, I wouldn’t know where to start. This is a pic of the ECU I have for the auto trans conversion I want to do.

 

Anyone have any clever ideas on keeping a catch can from freezing? I'm wondering if a pan heater would be enough to keep it from freezing.

 

Route the wastegate tube across/around it. Block heater?

 

My catch can has coolant run to it, Radium AOS-R

 

My catch can is just some 3/4" heater hose ran down below the chassis.

 

This is effectively how mine is. Since mine is setup as both valve covers to the can, then vent to atmosphere.

 

Crankcase to valve cover then VTA. Sometimes with the windows down and I roll to a stop, and the breeze is just right you can smell it. But it's not too often.

 

Same. I used to have a filter on the outlet. Too much vapor would visit me in the cab. Long hose down the fender, and good riddance.

That's why I prefer it recirculated but for now it's to the catch can with the drain open. Not driving it much right now so I'll deal with it.

 

This project was a fun one tonight. Good practice and gets my friends wheel back on the car.

Had some massive cracks through his TE37. Bought them used from a grind hard stance fellow.



Did a light contouring at the end, so the tire would seat without issue. The inner barrel lip still needs to be gone over with a flap disk to get out those pebble craters. Sheesh.
