I'm running HPtuners and its definitely worth it. Aside from tuning the blower, I've used it to delete the secondary air injection, and run URD longtubes with no cats and not need o2 sims. It also gives you you full control of throttle response (better than the Pedal Commander) and the ability to adjust and improve transmission shifting among many other things. Gives you a ton of control. Even if you're not a tuner it's not difficult to upload some of the common tunes/adjustments that have already been put out there in the forums. The throttle response adjustment is money.

I thought you shouldn’t do both. O2 sims and air pump. Doing so would give you 2 incompletes and you should only have one. Or maybe I guess it only matters what your state rules are.

I did both deletes at the same time and there are no issues I've heard of. I believe it's two separate parameters that are disabled that have no bearing on each other. Of course for offroad purposes only :)

Edit: yes it could be an issue for certain states. Luckily we have no testing here in Michigan.

Yeah we do here in certain areas. Literally just a few miles south of me is the border of the next town where non testing is in effect. Ain’t that a bitch!! I’ve always avoided o2 sims because of that. I just didn’t want to deal with issues that can stem from them. Now I’m like fuck it!! I got a set of new long tubes and sims waiting to be installed......along with my cam gears, regear, HPTuning, and a plug swap.

If you have HPTuners at the time of installing the long tubes, you can sell those sims...they won't be needed!

I think I do actually. After going over it with justdsm, my state allows for 2 incomplete or non ready area of what they scan for. However only using 1 is a safer thing to do to not draw a red flag and attract attention. My sai is what I really want to get off. However, if I misunderstood him and I can do indeed both, then both it will be for sure.

Ahhh I see now. I wasn't following what you meant by "incompletes" before but I'm tracking now. So the sims will still be needed for the scanner.

Driving from Moab to northern Colorado in FWD got me to finally buy a truck that can tow my shit box Tacoma. So hopefully I’ll be doing some crazy things to the Tacoma now. First thing is a new F9” fabricated rear axle, and Deaver 64” spring under with bypass shocks.

Have a build page? My 2001 4runner is still almost bone stock but a great DD
