what issues if any did you encounter that required major work or replacement of components? Are you hauling heavy items or towing trailers? What did you do that went beyond regular maintenance?

replaced the alternator (stock died) about 2k ago. replaced the serpentine belt at the same time. front brake pads twice, rotors once. battery once. spark plugs were replaced at over 300k. nothing beyond regular maintenance. replace things as they break or become unsafe due to wear. no regular towing, did have a decent sized uhaul on it from Arizona to Tennessee one almost 2k trip. i've had it full to the brim, almost on bumper stops with firewood for short trips. most work i have some machines in the truck bed, not overly heavy though.

i have a slight humming / rotational vibration when the wheel is turned toward the passenger side that started recently. yet to identify the cause, have and oil change and tire rotation tomorrow. maybe the dealer will have some input on the culprit.

Except for one engine having almost 200 hp more and 3gen is almost twice the size of that hilux.;)

IMHO the mpgs are not bad at all for a 4600# truck, was a huge improvement over my 4.0 07 ranger.

I probably average the most miles per day, I’m at 4350 miles and average 96 miles per day of ownership.

2.7 5MT. Still haven't even done the front brakes yet (currently at about 7mm). Oil changed every 10-12k. Clutch still feels pretty solid even though I've beaten the crap out of it towing my camper prior to 2LM mod.

When i was traveling for work, i averaged about 200 per day. 45k per year.

I did 45k the first two years. This year I’m at like 12k lol
