I like those tires but when I ran those same tires I felt like they didn't do good in wet conditions here in the PNW.

I personally haven’t had any issues, but not a ton of rain in NC. I forgot to answer your question about ride quality. It’s a lot better than stock, awesome ride!

285/75r16 with stock pro suspension. Needed to use a heat gun to push up some of the fender plastic. VERY slight touching on the passenger UCA at full lock and reversing. Nothing adding a little material to the passenger steering stops couldn’t fix.

You’re Welcome. Good luck with whatever decision you make. I will say this, I should have gone to 285’s a long time ago!

    A few.
Any of you who now have 285s now but had 265/75s or 265/70s beforehand, did u notice about the same or more of a difference in power & mpg loss than you did going from stock size to the 265s?

@Shades_Of_Red went from 265/70 to 285/70 and tbh there wasn't much of a difference in the top end of power but coming off the line acceleration is slightly lower. Mpg wise I was getting 19 around town and now I'm hovering around 18. As a DD its very manageable

Are your 285s e'-load? If i switched to 285s i would probably change to 17 inch wheels. Its hard to find a 285/16 thats isn't 10 ply. The 2 lightest Im aware of are the Bridgestone AT Revos and the Firestone ATs. Both weigh 51lbs which is light for a 10 ply 285. I'm guessing they might wear fairly quickly. The weight has to come from somewhere

I'm not on E loads so that could be a factor, I'd say you could find some 16" wheels that are significantly lighter than 17s.

Yes, there is a difference and it can be slightly alleviated with lighter tires.

I went from 265/70r17 Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 (40 lbs. per tire) to 285/70r17 Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 (45 lbs. per tire). The weight of the tire is a big factor. For me, power loss is extremely minimal. Hope this helps!

The KM3s are actually more aggressive looking and have larger blocks. As @Beef Nachos mentioned, offset does play a huge part.
