I usually just do the insides of the frame .As far as I know FF and Woolwax are both made with the same ingredient (oil’s from the wool) lanolin. FF is also available at multiple retailers around me where as Woolwax is not .

 

The Subaru tweeters were a waste of money in my opinion. I did not notice any difference in the quality of treble and now my passenger A pillar rattles from unassembling that part of the dash

 

well that’s good to know. I’ve seen good things but don’t wanna get something not worth it. Maybe I’ll just go with rek gen mudflaps to protect my truck from all the rocks I kick up overmallin.

 

X2 same issues and result. My passenger A pillar area rattle has returned with the lower temps. I’ve taken that area apart at least 6 times and can’t find the source.

 

I remember reading a while back, if you put a piece of moleskin between the dash and A pillar, it will stop.

 

I have a piece of felt in that spot which fixed it for a season. Best I can tell it’s actually something inside the A pillar. I read one thread that over time the adhesive/tape that holds some of the cabling in plastic jacketing can come loose which allows it to rattle around in the pillar.

Might take it apart when I take apart some of the dash to add heated seats, but also recognize that after repeatedly pulling interior plastic pieces apart for intermittent wipers, fog lights, various chrome deletes, sun visors, speaker upgrades, and dash top multi-mount I’m probably going to have to live with a couple of rattles.

I’ve got kicker tweeters, Kicker CS series 6x9s & 6.75s along with dynamatted doors and a pioneer 500w head unit with CarPlay and it bumps pretty hard. Sounds like I have a subwoofer despite not having a subwoofer with clear highs and mids still.

Always when it’s cold out. I think it’s a plastic clip that has gotten loose from pulling the damn thing out but not 100% sure. Oh well, just gotta blast the music with my pointless Subaru tweeters

 

My wife’s asked why I wanted speakers when I’m only driving my truck a few short trips a week...
same reason I want a lift, wheels/tires decals etc... to look cool and fit in, even though I won’t see anyone in person

 

Gotta upgrade the other 4 too my dude lol

 

Had another busy weekend. I had a guy come up from S. Carolina to haul off that 1953 trailer. After we got him down the mountain to the blacktop road (which took some work because against my advice he brought a 2wd truck) we headed back to the property and started knocking down some dead trees and used the bobcat to make a clearing for my buddies cabin.

 

And its triple locked! I would but I just spent all my extra cash on that land.

 

A 1953 trailer has utility to somebody? They can be rebuilt? Is it all aluminum and has scrap value?
