We might head straight to the bridge Friday. It’s about 4 hours away vs. driving 4 to Jack and then 1.5 over to the bridge. We plan on leaving around 5 am. So we should be their around 9-10 am central. Then back track to Jack. Thoughts?? We just want to make sure we see some sites Friday while out.

I got some firewood from one of my NP's. Also got a new toy

 

Nice!!! I expect you and @ETsemaj to have us plenty of firewood cut by the time we get there. You know just to make sure it works correctly.

I'd bring it. I have no clue if this one will work I still need to put the chain, oil and all in/on it

 

Definitely suggest this to all. Blue Ridge was an absolute mess after Zeta. This was two weeks ago on some trails nearby.

Couple of questions?

I am just planning on doing the ride Saturday. What time will everyone be pulling out of Jack's River Saturday morning. I will be getting off work at 8(unless I get a late call.) I can make it to Jack's River by 9:30 or 10. Will that be too late.

What will everyone be doing for lunch. Lunch on the trail or finding a restaurant?

What will everyone be using for communications? I have a CB and some Walmart walkie talkies.

 

I hate that I’m missing this since I’ve been away from the board. I just picked up a new off-road trailer and tepui last week. Would’ve made a hell of a first trip.

 

OP and a few guys went up last night. More are pulling out today. I have no idea what time we will leave Jack River but, I wouldn’t think it would be extremely early. I think the plan was to drive on the East side of Jack. So if you miss us you just head to the East we couldn’t be far. We would love to have you ride along. Always nice to have someone from the area. More than likely food on trail. We did Frog Loop last time. Going to be using CB and some have ham too. Other than camping Im not sure there was a specific plan.

 

Heading from Bham at 3. Should put me there at Jacks river around 9pm EST. Have no idea where everyone is, I’m just driving to the coordinates on the first page lol

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it in the morning. My daughter is not feeling well. I was really looking forward to hanging out with some fellow Tacoma enthusiasts. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
