Well I made it, drama free as always with this truck. Took 2hrs longer than with the car, I really need to swap out this dented to hell fuel tank, 130miles of range SUCKS!

 

Anybody got any leads on rental houses locally? @jlemmond know any off the top of your head in the good ole Monroe?

 

Should be plenty available once Dec. 31st rolls around and eviction protection has ended.

it has to suck to be a landlord right now. you know people scumbags are taking advantage of the situation and have been living rent free for most of the year.

My in laws have a few section 8 rent places, I can't imagine they aren't getting paid one way or the other

 

well, that's because you actually work a job and try to make a living for yourself. not a government freeloader.

 

One of the main reasons we sold the Asheville place. We had kicked around the idea to rent it, but beside me not wanting to be a long distance landlord, I was afraid of getting a tenant like that.

 

Man, but when they move out.... I spent summers in high school rehabing section 8 houses that my dad and uncle owned. Basically needed a new interior after every tenant.

 

I can’t imagine how they’re left.

 

When the whole corona started our landlord in Montana said that we didn’t have to worry about paying rent if we weren’t able to, we still paid it. They were super nice landlords. They wouldn’t accept half a months rent when we were moving out.
