Put on new brake shoes yesterday. Not too exciting lol, no pics. It’s been a while since I’ve done rear brakes so it took me a bit longer than it used to, but no problems.

Got my Martin Offroad rack installed this weekend. Went together really easily. Only problem is the INTENSE vibration when going over 70mph.

Thanks I used to have the older version of Duo. Got this updated one to replace. Yes there's 2. The one in top powers the front cam and it has GPS modules which it plugs into it. The side connects to the rear cam with just one wire.

Yes! It's pretty wild. The 9100 let's you choose between 7 different types of modes. No real on road use of course. Except if you are broke down, changing a flat etc.

is the vibration a problem specific to the martin brand rack or that style in general?
Ie does the the Prinsu one have the same issues?

Was looking at the martin because the cost is so low...with materials making mine own would be like 200$ ish + days of labor so seemed worth it. But intense vibration idk..

Either way looks great on your truck

I emailed the guy asking about it. I haven't heard of any vibration issues from anyone else. Putting it together was pretty easy though. Hardest part was figuring out how to get the hold in the weather striping on the roof. Even that wasn't hard. Just time consuming.

^^This right here^^ You're absolutely right. So, if it's not gonna change anyone's mind, why should anyone change what they share in posts?

The saddest part of the whole debate is that no one can tell me how on Earth one side's argument truly affects the other. I have this little saying I tell my friends when they call me crazy for diving with sharks, or swimming in rivers (here in FL) that are known to have gators: "You'd be surprised how many times you've been swimming at the beach, and a 6ft shark has passed within a few feet of you and you never even noticed - just went about your day." The same can be said about guns. I've just stood in line quietly while listening to someone whine about people and guns, all the while, there are probably more than a few concealed permit owners walking around them, just minding their own business. If someone doesn't like guns - don't buy one, stay away from the range. But to actively seek out and ridicule or troll someone over a sticker on their truck, or a picture shared with other enthusiasts is just absurd.

Without getting too political (mods are lurking like sharks & gators in here) it seems to be a one-sided argument. Anti-gunners want to curtail your rights, but 2A supporters don't go out trying to get those guys to buy guns...vegans wanna stop you from eating meat, but us carnivores don't go out and protest in front of farms or stop trucks carrying bushels of produce... anti fossil fuel people want to (and they've literally boasted about it) shut down the fossil fuel industry, but I don't recall anyone ever having a march or protest at a lithium mine. Seems like one side of the arguers is adamant about denying the other side their freedoms. I say live & let live, enjoy your plant based burger whilst you drive around unarmed in a battery powered go-cart - good on ya. No one cares. Most of us just ask you don't care about what we do either - it's no one's business but ours.

Is the vibration a result of wind getting under the deflector and wanting to lift it?

Also, love those wheels against the quicksand. Wow!

You my friend, seem to have a lot of grievances to air and you’re well entitled to your opinions. I’m not going to try to change your mind because if you really think you’re a ‘carnivore’ and that vegans will ever take your meat away, then my words aren’t going to sway you in the least. The world isn’t black and white, there is a lot of shading and there lies the issue with today and why there are so many divides. Nobody wants to acknowledge the gray in-between the black and white. Everyone acts like someone else getting a slice of pie means they’re getting less pie but that isn’t always how life works. It’s possible to just make a bigger pie, or more of them but that would require sharing and most Americans are selfish. Nobody is saying that people need to change what they share in posts, just don’t get all ruffled when someone else has a different viewpoint.

Gray areas are possible. I run a tree farm that uses diesel tractors, I drive an ICE Tacoma while my wife has a Tesla on order. Our house was switched to natural gas yet our electricity is “green”. I am legally able to carry concealed and do when I feel necessary, yet I still think posting pictures of guns in the center console of a vehicle is ridiculous. I’m not against people doing it, I just think its goofy. I’m an omnivore so if someone else is a vegan, I don’t care because I’m not. Some may call me a hypocrite but I just do what works for me.
