vF Tuner for the 3.5L Tacoma

Ya I’ll eat it. Oh well. All done now though. Just need my cable and ID so I can add the tune!

 

That should make it all feel better. The tunes are great, as is being able to edit them.

You can also install TechStream and do any Customizations that are available.

 

That’s what I was going to do but I got sick of waiting and felt the need to upgrade now for some reason. Haha

 

Generally if you go in complaining about a symptom and point out that this TSB appears to cover it then it'll be covered under warranty.
If you go in asking for an ECU update without stating any symptoms then the dealer wouldn't view it as a warranty issue cause you aren't having any issues and so they add a diagnostic fee too

 

And even then it's a 1/100 shot they'll even do the TSB.

 

Before ovtune i took my truck for that update. They said they did it but actually did nothing. I found out once i read the ID.

Also since im posting something my favorite tune is moosedittys last gearlock tune made premium.

Dont like the other tunes because they change the way the pedal feels depending on the mode. Pedel should never change imo.

I stated in email that I’ve got the drivers installed.

 

And we said try installing the drivers again, because clearly the drivers are not showing up in the box.

What else do you expect us to say? It's a pretty straight forward process, except you are using some unique / odd combination with some USB adapter that we have never tested. So try installing the drivers again.

If that doesn't work, maybe it's your USB setup.


The reason I specifically said try installing the drivers again is because MANY times people say they installed it, when they actually didn't, and they get the same issue you did. I've seen that 100+ times.

 

Well this is more of a response than I got in my email. I asked about the USB connection in email but had no response Regarding it. All good!

 

I was confused about this at Matts post about it at first because if you look closely at the screenshots he post the top two are screenshots of Control and Expected Airflow with a range selected of 800-2000. But the last screenshot he posted at the bottom shows the Expected Airflow map with a range of 650-2400. I assumed that since it was after he was talking about changing the lambda that the 650-2400 ranges pertained to the .99 maps.

 

Hello all, is anyone using a Samsung Galaxy book2 it’s only a usb.c for vf tuner or ovtune. I’ve got a usb2.0 to c hub. It’s got windows 10 home. Thanks guys!

 

I can't imagine it wouldn't work to flash tunes.

And sorry @OVTune for feeling frustrated about MY issues! Hopefully this will all work out with the different laptop and my new system ID. If it makes ya feel any better I’m really excited to install the dump tubes and flash this damn thing!

 

So the USB from Amazon did not work out? I've missed some posts.

 

That or my work laptop has something blocked. Idk...lol. But got the wife’s laptop to download everything and read the Tactrix. Just waiting on my new system ID for this computer.
