I'll get 27 going to the lake with my kayaks and trailer tomorrow.

    I'll get 15 coming back...

I grew up in Waxhaw, so I smile a little bit when I see Hendersonville in your sig. I drive right through there when I go home to visit.

The hills there can either make or break your milage. It's knobby here in KY so you're constantly going up and down, which kind of averages out.

So played with 2.0 premium super fob dumptube (secondary cats removed with larger y pipe) adding 92ehatchs tune. There was a ton more power on the butt dyno, kept power into 7k that was a bit nerve wracking.
Debating on going with the non dumptube tune, and has anyone else had clutch slip? Wondering what the factory clutch is rated for.
4low was unusable as soon as it got into power clutch would slip

Are you sure it's the clutch slipping?

At that ratio i would believe tires let go first

That's what I thought but no tire spin, and smelled clutch. Was a thought, haven't gotten the smell again but was a worry

    Hey, Folks.

Small update to the 1st Post.

Added the Faults section, mainly for folks with Dump Tubes. Thanks, @Shellshock .

I also attached a PDF with screenshots of the maps in the current version. Helps when you (me!) don't have your tuning computer along.

Thanks for loading that word document. I wondered if my maps were different and they are, significantly. I'm missing a few of yours and have a whole bunch more in other areas. Strange.

You're welcome! BTW, I just swapped it for a PDF file.:rofl: I think that is better for folks?

That might mean that you are back a version or more? Also note, I think that there are two versions of V1.2.7.0. It was updated about a week ago without a version change?

I'm curious about where you have more maps.

I think I have the most recent 1.2.7.0 as I needed to re-download it for the 04C30 support for my truck. I'll attach the file here.

I don't know what most of them do so I don't dare touch them. Interestingly, I was re-reading about 2D throttle maps that Mat posted along with his airload stuff and perhaps it's deprecated now with more recent vF updates but I can't find those maps...

Edit: I think I figured that one out. The MT is condensed on said maps and looks different and I already made the change. haha.

That's pretty crazy. I just updated my vF before making that PDF. You definitely have some extra and interesting maps but are also missing some biggies.

I suppose we need a tie breaker to post up? Hahaha!

I did not think that there were any differences for different ECU IDs, but that might be it. Still, the missing torque limits maps are a big deal. The Cold Start maps are important to me.

I didn't even notice those so much. Cold start I did as you had that written somewhere but I haven't noticed/been bothered by my truck idling at all or anything so I didn't really attempt to figure which map needed changing. I was more concerned about becoming familiar with the important changes everyone (including me) wanted to change and I'm content for now. Dad figures next weekend we can tackle that accumulator (I'm not holding my breath; soon though). I did manage to put it through the paces on the highway and wow, these trucks have a good amount of power. such a shame it's hidden away like it is.

Maybe the other maps will show up in time as Mat gets around to doing the tune pack for it? Time will tell.

Yeah. Toyota blew it, and continues to blow it, on the Stock tunes. With all the tech on board, there is no excuse for having such an artificially weak bottom end. That will be fixed for you soon.

Thanks to you and the others I've already managed to improve it significantly, as I've mentioned. Even stock, I found it better than the AT, though the short time I spent on 04B33 gave the stock 04C30 a run for its money (likely would be better as it shifts quicker). My truck is still meh in the first two gears but I think much of that is me fighting with that accumulator. If I drive Sunday style, no issues. If I need or want to move quicker than that, we have issues with smooth shifting. Thankfully I will deal with that soon, and down the road whatever magic Mat conjures up will ice and decorate the cake. lol.

I'm happier even now with my truck than my last one which is the important part. The fact it can and will get better is a bonus.

As weird as it sounds, the tunes do improve shifting. Plus there are some more goodies for us on a future vF version.

    The accumulator does suck immensely.

I believe you, on all accounts. Those linear changes of your first post made a very noticeable difference. 2,0 made similar differences on 04B30.

I just hate how the accumulator seems to want to tell me how to drive. That *may* be better for brand new manual drivers but not guys and gals like us.

Yeah. I can see it being a small benefit to a newb in the first week or so. Then, it becomes a hindrance.

My daughters were able to drive mine in a parking lot and have no intent of really wanting an MT.

Hindrance? You don't say. I'll share my embarrassment of it having caused me to stall three times: slight incline at a signal, level at a signal and into a parking stall. I simply didn't feel the clutch engaging on any of those accounts. I was frustrating and embarrassing as I haven't stalled a manual since I learned on my Civic almost 15 years ago.

I won't know how it feels with the accumulator gone until it's gone but I can't wait. I'm terrified of the procedure not going right but I'm sure it will work out.

You will get a little bit more feel. The just is not enough with this clutch set up even with the ADM. That said, it will be direct. So when you put both together, it fixes it as much as it can be fixed.

The work isn't bad at all. Just don't rush it and definitely have line wrenches, not standard box end wrenches.
