I am genuinely unclear whether this is literally true or some sort of code I don't understand...

I need to invest in some scuba equipment for the amount of guns that are being lost in boating accidents!

Perhaps someone would like to memory-hole their BCM in the Durango, Colorado area. I could help with that. :anonymous:

Anyone have first hand experience with the Sig 516 Patrol piston driven rifle? I see mixed reviews on youtube. have a line on one, not sure if I will pull the trigger. I know they are not made anymore, if parts are needed in the future, am I SOL ?

    Ive got a Gen 2 516 Patrol

It had a couple FTE's the first time I shot it but generally a good gun. And accurate. Having adjustable gas is nice but haven't shot it suppressed (still waiting on ATF to approve my form 4 for my suppressor) although have read it works well suppressed.

Trigger is kind of crap for the price of the gun.

Also, many of the upper parts are proprietary (esp. BCG, not mil spec) so there's that. But supposedly LWRC BCG is compatible...

Not the 516 but at one point I had a 716. I liked it enough that I have wanted a 516 ever since. Never had an issue out of it but the particular model I had came with a Geissele trigger so I can't really speak to that. Adjustable gas block was great for suppressed and even suppressed it stayed relatively clean because of the piston.

I sold it to a family member with the agreement I would be the first one he called if he ever decided to sell it.

Thanks all, got more info, called Sig with the SN#, it is a gen 1, 10/27/2010. I will have to see what I can find out about gen 1 vs. gen 2 (~2013+) issues / differences.

Will a 6.5 creedmore upper work on the lower assembly for the 5.56? What else will have to be changed or is it a direct swap over I’m assuming the magazine will differ

    No. Not at all.

6.5 CM is large pattern (308 AR size).

    You can do Grendel.

6.5 Creedmoor is based on the .308 cartridge and a 6.5cm upper WILL NOT fit on an AR15 lower. It will fit on a LR308 upper, but I would recommend using the same brand upper and lower receivers as there are MANY varieties of LR308, AR10, SR25 etc out there

6.5 Grendel will fit AR15 lowers

    heh, beat
